I have seen this issue with the v3 before it is a software glitch, if you have the USB cable, google for P2KTools, and then search some of the cell forums for a newer firmware, but check your carrier's site they usually have them as well and flash newer software to the phone.
back up your fone 1st,, back up your data, go to your settings ,
initial set up, master clear, code "000000" then wait ,the phone will
boot, then try..post if your problem solve
