I have a Uniden DECT 6.0 Model 1560. The phone will not ring in and the caller ID number doesn't display. The phone will dial out calls and I can use the phone to answer calls when I hear the ringing from a phone in another room. This happened once before and I used the online manual to fix the problem (it was very simple to do), but I can't get the problem fixed this time. The phone was working yesterday afternoon, but not last night. Please give me some info as what I can do to solve the problem. Thanks Linda Fisher

Hi Debra,
There are several reasons that this could happen:
1. Your telephone company stopped the service, even though you are paying for it... Ask your telephone company to verify your Caller ID service is current.
2. There may be a problem with your Caller ID service. Ask your telephone company to check to see if there are any problems.
3. Sometimes the caller ID is delayed, try letting incoming calls ring at least twice before answering.

The "charge" light staying on is very unusual, It could mean that the battery is failing, but if it is working properly, don't worry about it.

This phone has one mode to configurate the "number of the rings" you need to programer this "time" Enter to this option always search as inside "MENU" follow your user manual also.

it could be an outside trouble on your telephone line that will only effect certain features

Lost manual for Uniden DECT 6.0 Digital DECT 1560-2 . Would like to set the phone to 4 rings before going to voicemail.

cannot see the caller id working or it doesn't display the number of who is calling. bought these phones a month and half ago.

Thanks for using FixYa. I think you have stored more than 100 Caller ID messages and hence the caller ID is not showing on Uniden Tru8888. In the following cases the caller ID will not be shown-

If you answer a call before the Caller ID message is received (for example, before the second ring), the Caller ID message will not appear.

When the call is received via a telephone company that does not offer Caller ID service, the caller’s phone number and name does not appear. (This includes some international calls.)

When the call is via a private branch exchange (PBX), the caller's phone number and name may not appear.

You may receive any one of the following messages:

When a private name is received; Private Name
When a private number is received; Private Number
When a unknown name is received; Unknown Name
When a unknown number is received; Unknown Number
When invalid data is received; Incomplete Data

The Caller ID list stores information for incoming calls - even unanswered calls. You can store up to 100 Caller ID messages and phonebook entries (including Speed Dials) for each handset and the base. You can view the Caller ID list through the handset or base during a call or when the phone is in standby mode.

Memory locations for Caller ID messages and Phonebook entries (including Speed Dials) are common, you can store up to all 100 entries for each handset and the base. Caller ID messages are not stored when you have 100 phonebook entries. When you have stored a total of 100 phonebook entries and Caller ID messages, the oldest Caller ID message is overwritten.
