I have a 48' in. t.v. and all of a sudden the picture is double you see a shadow of whats on in the background and have a light line of white color from top to bottom on the left side what can it be?
Probably the projection guns (my JVC had them fail on me). It started that way and eventually I had a triple image of what was on TV, one in red, one blue, one yellow, and all slightly offset from each other. The fix was new projection guns (thankfully it was under warranty as they were about $300 each).

The tv have a problems known as a convergence problems,it dead.Tv have colors lines R,G,B mis alignments,have colors shadows pictures or 3D pictures look alike?The tv convergence board have dead 2 STK convergence ICS and some or all it resistors are dead too.These parts on the tv convergence board,must be replaced to solved pictures convergence problems.The shop,will cost u like $300-$350 for parts and labors.

In the menu do the auto convergence. If still bad replace the convergence ics. Also check resistors around the ics. You can remove the front grill and access the conv board from the front. Small board on the right. It popps out.
You can get the JVC AV48WP30 convergence repair kit from www.tvrepairworld.com which should repair that issue. The kit contains the parts and detailed instructions on CD
You probly have a convergence cicuit failure. Replacing the convergencr IC's will probly fix it.
I recommend a professional repairman to
do it though. Particularly if it needs further adjustments after the IC's are replaced.
Did you attempt to repair your computer on your own and then started to have this problem or did this just suddenly happen? Also, can you post a picture of what you are seeing?
