Question about JVC AV-48WP30 48" Rear Projection Television

JVC 48 in rear

I have a 48' in. t.v. and all of a sudden the picture is double you see a shadow of whats on in the background and have a light line of white color from top to bottom on the left side what can it be?

    i have the same problem there is red and blue around the image

Probably the projection guns (my JVC had them fail on me). It started that way and eventually I had a triple image of what was on TV, one in red, one blue, one yellow, and all slightly offset from each other. The fix was new projection guns (thankfully it was under warranty as they were about $300 each).

My JVC wont converge the red lines so half my screen is good while the other has red lines. What should I do? Thanks A lot

My jvc rear projection 48" tv is showing double images, what can I do to fix this problem


In the menu do the auto convergence. If still bad replace the convergence ics. Also check resistors around the ics. You can remove the front grill and access the conv board from the front. Small board on the right. It popps out.

Our TV has, almost what appears to be, a double, colors are shadowing


You can get the JVC AV48WP30 convergence repair kit from www.tvrepairworld.com which should repair that issue. The kit contains the parts and detailed instructions on CD

Looks like 3D Picture


You probly have a convergence cicuit failure. Replacing the convergencr IC's will probly fix it.
I recommend a professional repairman to
do it though. Particularly if it needs further adjustments after the IC's are replaced.

I have the same problem with my jvc with the double letters and numbers how can i fix this


Did you attempt to repair your computer on your own and then started to have this problem or did this just suddenly happen? Also, can you post a picture of what you are seeing?

Red bending lines shadowing all other correct parts of the picture


you can get the convergence repair kit to fix your model JVc at the following link look under the convergence repair kit category, they provide free step by step instructions with pictures so you can easially do the repair yourself. heres the link.
