Internet connection setting for Belkin N wirelss modem router

If you can connect to the internet without the connection icon in the system tray, I think its fine. But if you really want to see the blinking icon, go to start>control panel>netweok and internet connection>network connection. There you can see the local area network icon. Right click on it and then properties. A new window will appear, make sure the "show icon in notification area when connected" is checked. Thank you and good day.

Cnnection management icon has gone from my system tray . how do i retrieve it ?

Open the conntol panel and go to network connection. Check to see which connections are connected and which ones are disabled. Normally if a connection is not shown on the icon tray it is either a hard wire connection that is connected or any connection that is disabled. That should tell you what the problem is. This could help you diagnose the problem.

Need to find network driver

Solution:

i) Click on  Start button ---->Select option Control Panel------>Select Network Connections----->

a new window appears showing the "internet connections icon " Such as:

Local Area Connection 1 or 2 or 3 and since you are not connected it will show this icon as:

eg1:   Local Area Connection 1 or 2 or 3
       Network Cable Unplugged, Firewalled
       VIA compatible Fast Ethernet

in this case u can download VIA network drivers....from internet..

       or

  eg2:  Local Area Connection 1 or 2 or 3
          Network Cable Unplugged, Firewalled
Realtek RTL8139 Family Fast Ethernet NIC

                                                          (OR)

ii) Click Start button ---->Select RUN option ----> type in the text box    devmgmt.msc  --->Select Network Adapters....

but this will show wheter ur network adapter or NIC is VIA or Realtek or......but does show the correct Model NO: of VIA or Realtek....
