Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Have you managed to check that the drain pump is functioning correctly? Here is the final bit of my guidance notes on checking filters AND motors ;-0)
Disconnect power
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. If it doesn't work then the motor is malfunctioning!

Good luck!

Machine turns off when goes to the spin cycle

Hello halinad43 - Does the drain pump make a humming noise? If so, there may be a restriction in the drain line or siphoning. Otherwise since it is such a complex unit I would recommend contacting a professional to have either the pump or timer diagnose.

The wash cycle clicks on and a small amount of water enters the drum, as normal, but then there is just a humming noise and the drum does not move. When I put it on the rinse and spin cycle (there is...

I removed the bottom panel under the door and drained the the tub. There is a white filter housing that unscrews, but you need to have towels handy to catch the water that comes out. The machine appeared to work after that but it would'nt drain and it turns out that the humming noise was coming from the drain pump connected to the filter. I ordered a new drain pump assembly, which should be easy to replace since it is located at the front of the washing machine.

My hoover 540 washing machine started making funny noises a couple of loads ago (loud banging noise during spin cycle). Now it goes through whole cycle but when it gets to 'drain' part of the cycle,...

Sounds like a blockage in the outlet pipes or filter. It may be possible to drain it if you can get the outlet pipe (one from back of machine) outside, lay it flat on the ground as this will take it below the water level in the machine and may slowly drain. Once it drains out enough the machine should disengage the door lock to allow you to open it. Then check your filter and pipes for blockage. If no blockage is found then suspect faulty pump.

WASHER MAKES A HUMMING NOISE IN SPIN CYCLE BUT DOESN"T SPIN & CLOTHES ARE SOPPING WET.

what's the brand name and model number, all washers are different, most likely it's the motor humming or the pump is humming, could have something stuck in pump,if the water doesn't drain the washer won't spin,if you have a shop vac pull the drain hose out of stand pipe or sink, stick the shop vac hose onto the drain hose, get it down as low as you can and suck out the water and then see if it spins,if there's alot of water in the tub suck it out of the tub first then go to the drain hose,if it spins when water is out you know it's the pump but if you say water is still in tub i would have to say it is the pump,

Frigidaire front washer has power but won't fill up, drain or go through correct cycles

You'll very likely have something caught in your drain pump. First set the washer to drain and spin. If you hear a hum or grinding noise and the water in the tub isn't draining or it's draining slowly you have something in the pump. If you take the rear panel off you'll reveal the drain pump at the right front corner or maybe middle on this model. if you empty all the water from your machine you can take off the spring clamp (this can be tricky) attaching the thick rubber hose from your tub to your drain pump. (you may want to have some old towels ready) With this off you can feel around for what's blocking the drain pump's impeller. You may want to take the screws out that secure the drain pump to the base and the other spring clamp that attaches the drain hose to the drain pump. Good luck!

Cda c1532 front load washer

possible drain pump has a foreign object in it - access the impellor to see what you find or possible the pump has in fact failed. if you can hear a faint humming noise when should be draining, that indicates somkething jammed in the pump

Tricity bendix aw1400w

not only check filter but when filter out check for foreign objects fouling pump impellor. (bra wires are the favourite) if pump impellor not visible, then put onto drain and listen for a low humming noise in vicinity of pump. this confirms that pump is powered but jammed. all you can do after that is to check continuity of pump and check there is power to pump when on drain - assumes you have a multimeter
