I have a broken door catch for a Siemens Siwamat XB 1061. Can I get a replacement part

My first thought was that it was a problem with the drive belt or tensioner, but if it spins, that can't be the answer. That points to a main board or motor controller problem. In the first instance try a Power Reset. Disconnect the machine from mains power for a couple of hours, or preferably overnight. Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds and then plug it back in. If that doesn't fix it, you need a service call. It doesn't appear to be a known issue.

If you are in the U.S., try typing the model number into the web-site called: "Searspartsdirect" in the appropriate space.
If this machine is sold in this country, you should find the option to order or copy a user manual at that site.

that means that the door catch is not operating properly you may need to replace the door lock yourself or call the washing machine engineer for a quote eric

press the start button after the door is closed.
if it does not start - the door switch/latch is likely bad.

is all the water out of the machine if not the door wont open.
if all the water has gone, have a look behind the small flap on the front of the machine where the filter is and there might be a small plastic loop which when pulled should release the door catch.
please note i say might as some models have this feature and some dont.
