Hi firstly check that there is power going to the player check fuses in line with the player if all ok the problem lies within the player ,but more than likely its just a power source

This is happeneing because the stereo does not have a battery power connections. The yellow wire is for a constant 12 volt connection. This connection is for the stereo's memory.
do you mean the blue light on the power button? it sounds like your radio's switched power input (usually red) is hooked up to a 12 volt constant source.
The sub outputs are simply lowpass filtered preamp outputs for use with a subwoofer amplifier. They supply a lowpass filtered signal for a subamp or 'powered subwoofer" like a bazooka tube. Test your "basstube" for 12 volt input power and make sure the "sub" setting on the radio is turned up too.
