Make sure whatever your playing videos from is properly plugged in.
iPod touch or iPhone (via HDMI): the iPhones and iPod touches don't show picture, just sound.
TV (via Aerial): make sure is plugged in properly.
If your TV remote has a Display button on it, press it again so it comes on.
Hope this helps. Get back in touch.

Hi, this seems to be a physical failure with your connections and not your TV input configuration (as you're able to listen to your audio). First, try to see if there's an obstruction on your iPod dock (maybe some dirt or dust) and on your AV cable. As the video travels through different pins than the USB or power, you may've not noticed the failure until now.
Sony Bravia TVs are all built in the same factory, so they can easily change from NTSC and PAL, try going to your settings and change the TV out to NTSC.
If everything else fails, take it to your Apple Store, they'll be more than happy to test it for you and if it's broken, replace it for a working one.

You may refer to the part 8 of this iPod tips, it will teach you how to connect iPod to TV and watch the iPod video on TV. It works pretty well for me. http://www.mac-dvd.com/ipod-tips-and-ipod-faq.html Hope it helps. Contact me if you have any other question.
1. OK on your iPod and click
"Videos" from the main menu. Click on "Video Settings" and
then switch the "TV Out" function to "On" by clicking on
it.
Plug the iPod audio video cable input
to the correct iPod plug-in. The cable's input varies from cable to cable but
will either plug into the headphone jack or the power output.
Plug the other end of the audio video
cable into the television's video output. The cable has three audio video
plug-ins colored red, yellow and white. Plug them into the TV's corresponding
inputs.
Turn on the television and change the
input to the same one you plugged the iPod into.
Select the video you'd like to play
on your iPod. The iPod's video and audio will be redirected to your television.
Here is a link to a webpage that gives you a detailed explanation with pictures. Although it describes how to hook up the ipod to a TV, it is exactly the same for a projector. More than likely from your description you already have the wires, so you need to enable the video settings. Setting up your iPod video options lets you control how you export
video. The iPod Video Options screen selects how your iPod handles
video file playback.
To open these settings, choose Videos -> Video Settings from your
main iPod menu. This screen offers three settings: TV Out, TV Signal
and Widescreen. Adjust to produce the video playback style you need. Use this setting to choose from:
No. Playback remains on the iPod itself.
Yes. A TV signal is produced.
Ask. The iPod prompts you whenever you play a video file.
The sound is muted unless a video signal is detected on this TV. The only work around would be to connect the camcorder or some other active video to tha input but using the IPOD for the audio.
You need to switch the video out seeting on the iPod, simple. It is located in Video/video settings/TV Out. Change the setting to "On". Problem solved. However, if you have an iPod that is less than 1 year old, nothing will work, iPod blocked this ability to change to "On" and is set on "Off" permanently.
are you using the holder things that are supposed to hold the ipod steady in the dock, if so take it out. my ipod only works in there if its by itself.
although now it wont play any sound from my ipod (movies or videos) but will play sound from dvd and tv. any suggestions?
I also have the same problem but now I think it's the type of I-Pod you use. Do you use the I-Pod 80 Gb video or the newer 160 Gb I-Pod with the cover flow etc. ? The documention of the HTD7001 says it's only support some I-Pods. I would know sure if I would have a type of Video I Pod wich is supported by the documentation
This will never work, the new ipods will only work with apple products. I've had numerous headaches with this and after many phonecalls to manufacturers I discovered that the new ipods will only play video if they see an apple authentication chip embedded inside the video cable. Sorry.
