Depending on the usage of the scanner, you can try cleaning first. Kodak recommends rollers be replaced every 125,000 scans.
1. Open the scanner and use compressed air to gently clean the rollers. If that does not help, use cotton swabs with alcohol to clean off any residue left on the rollers.
2. Replace the rollers. Part numbers can be found here: parts You can order the replacement parts directly from Kodak: 1-800-822-1414 (8AM - 8PM ET)

What is adf

Hello!
An automatic document feeder or ADF is a feature which takes several pages and feeds the paper one page at a time into a scanner or copier, allowing the user to scan, and thereby copy, print, or fax, multiple-page documents without having to manually replace each page.

DP80F FAX WILL NOT FEED ONE PAGE AT A TIME. IT WILL TAKE 1 PAGE , 5 PAGES , 2 PAGES . HOW DO I FIX THIS MACHINE TO FEED ONE PAGE AT A TIME

Potential solution: When putting in several sheets of paper, grab the sheets by one end, and fan the papers (spread them) at the other end. Reverse your grip and do the same thing to the other end.

Reason: paper is cut by a shear. If the blade of the shear is not perfectly sharp, it crushes fibers into the edges of the adjoining sheets. This causes the sheets to misfeed in the random way you describe. Ruffling the paper before putting it into the printer separates the pages so they will feed properly.

Lexmark all in one new printer

Hi Susie,
This could be due to a dirty feed roller or maybe the type of paper that you are using. What you can do is inspect the feed roller and make sure there is no debris or dirt in it. You will find the roller at the end of the paper tray. Hope it helps.

PIXMA MP780: Multiple pages feed together

Most paper feeding in printers is done via rubber rollers. These rollers get dirty and over time, the dirt glazes on to the roller. When this happens, the roller loses its grip. If you look at the rollers they will actually look shiny. After a while the rubber will dry rot and it becomes a more frequent problem. Try the following:

(EASY/LIGHT CLEANING) Get some inkjet cleaning paper at you local office supply. This is usually a thick absorbent paper that you spray with a cleaner and "print" with the wet page.

(MEDIUM) If that fails, unplug the printer and try using rubbing alcohol or ammonia to rub the rollers with a terry cloth. Be sure to rotate the rollers and get them all the way around.

(HARDER/BE CAREFUL) For hard glazed dirt, you may want to carefully use an hobby knife to scrape it off the rollers, being carful not to damage the rollers. Follow up with alcohol cleaning described above.

SF-3100 Paper feed problem

You need to clean the friction pad. If you open the part where you put your sheets in to send faxes you will see a white pad behind the cover. You need to clean it, if it still feeds more than one page the pad is probably worn.
