Usually the quickest way is to remove the battery from the device for 30 seconds and then reinsert. That will force the phone to scan what channel your base station is on and connect to the right channel.

1.go to file manager and backup phone on memory card and remove it
2.go to settings<phone managment<factory settings
3.enter password and reset the phone
4.after resetting insert memory card and restore

Handset No2 displays out of range message

Please check that you have correctly registered the second handset to the base. It may be necessary to de-register the second handset and then re-register it. "Out of range" just means the second handset is not within range of the base phone it was registered to.
