I have no sound on my brand new HP P6774y. I have reinstalled the drivers and supposedly the system says it is fully functional. However there is still no sound. I have it turned up to the highest level and still no sound.

2 things to look into;
#1 ensure the speakers are plugged into the correct port
#2 ensure the correct sound device is set as your default sound device in the control panel. Where this would be located in the control panel would be completely dependant on what OS youa re currently using.

Ink system failure 0xc19a0042

Follow The Steps to Troubleshoot HP Printer Ink System Failure 0xc19a0042:
Step 1: One must make sure that the HP Printer cables are connected properly or not. If in doubt, turn off the printer, unplug it and disconnect all of the printer cables. Plug it back in and reconnect the cables. Start the Printer by switching the button ON again to see if the error has cleared.
Step 2: Have look over the HP Printer cartridges and print heads to ensure that they're installed properly. And also have check over the printer cartridges are empty or not. In case the ink cartridges have sufficient ink, reinstall the cartridges and the print heads. If an ink cartridges is empty, replace it with a new fully filled ink.
Step 3: One must also check for the HP printer's software is properly installed in connected device. If the device does not respond when you try to get the print or the printer software won't initialize, uninstall and reinstall the HP Printer software driver for more successful prints.
Step 4: Have look over computer's firewall that it is preventing the HP Printer from functioning properly or not.

Cannot get printer to print alignment page

To align the heads in the event of poor print quality click Start, then go to Settings and select Printers. Right-click on the icon for the relevant printer and select Printing Preferences. The example used here is with the EPSON Stylus C80.

getimage.ashx?id=746&w=

Click on the Utility tab. Then click on the Print Head Alignment utility.

getimage.ashx?id=747&w=

Click Next.

getimage.ashx?id=748&w=
Click Print.

getimage.ashx?id=749&w=
Read the below instructions and proceed accordingly.

getimage.ashx?id=750&w=

The heads are correctly aligned when the lines that are printed are aligned to the centre position, in this case number 8.

My acer netbooks sound card is not working. When I go into the control panel to try and adjust it it wont allow me to do anything. I believe it may have been deleted and the icon on the bottom tool bar...

DDAC24,

Many times VIRUS or Malware DISABLE control functions, devices AND the software that directs them.

*** Curious to know if your EARPHONE jack works?

PLEASE SAVE/BACKUP everything you can EXCEPT your programs! If you backup a INFECTED program/file you MAY find yourself fighting the SAME problem over and over again!

BE SURE you have access to your SPECIFIC drivers (ALWAYS a good practice)... ESPECIALLY your network drivers! Get them from ACER and put them all on one CD.

Go online and download "MALWAREBYTES" FREE
and CLEAN your system now... This MAY correct your problem(s). *See the link below...

Now reinstall your Sound Card Drivers... I know you can't access them now, but try to OVERWRITE them with a .EXE file (if one is included with your Sound Card Software).

IF you've been using your ACER for years it may be time to REFRESH everything... here is the method but be SURE you have those DRIVERS first!

* FORMAT your hard drive (after you have backed up) and
* Reinstall your Operating System (and Drivers that did not auto-install).
* Do not attempt this WITHOUT a full set of CLEAN drivers for your SPECIFIC computer AND a copy of the Operating System your System was shipped with.

Note: I would NOT recommend installing a NEWER Operating System because MANY times, NEW Drivers are never written for newer OS so some items (sound/net/displays) may never work 100% again!

example: Your System shipped with Windows XP. You tried to install Windows 8 / 10 or 15. NOT a good idea... get your System FULLY functional first.

My laptop speaker stop working from it self

After reinstalling/installing an Operating System you can lose the Audio Drivers or sometimes they just corrupt.. Try reinstalling the Audio Drivers from the disk provide with your P.C./Laptop. If you no longer have the disk just visit the website of the makers of your P.C./Laptop or Motherboard and download the Audio Drivers from there, after that install them.
Thumbs up please if this works for you, thanks..

My system is not playing any sound what is problem & how to install sound software after reinstalling windows xp

Following your clean install of Windows XP you will need to reinstall the sound driver for your PC. This driver is listed under the original driver's header in the following link.

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=228&lc=en&cc=uk&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=1829063#N2980

If you are missing any other drivers you should also download them from this link. You can tell which drivers you are missing by right clicking on my computer - click on properties - then select device manager. Any system devices listed with a yellow exclamation mark (!) Are missing a fully functioning device driver.

Thanks,

In my laptop is HP PAVILION dv2000 model.

That 'beeping' is from the processor. The speakers aren't working because there is no sound driver installed.

Reinstalling the OS or initiating a system recovery will delete all the sound drivers (maybe others).

So, download your required drivers from here (search for your particular model in the series).

Multimedia sudio controller

You do not have drivers properly installed.

If your device is new and it came with a CD, insert the CD into the computer and the option to install drivers/software will likely be presented to you within a few seconds. This should fix the problem.

If that doesn't apply to your situation, hit me back with any further details (the name of the device you're trying to get working would be very helpful) you can provide and I'll be able to give you step by step directions for installing the drivers manually.
