My pendrive is write protected how to format it ,it says that the disk is write protected and i can read the content in it but cant delete the contents what should i do to remove the problem

1.Look for a switch or button on the side of the micro SD card or adapter. It might have a lock/unlock symbol on it.
2.Move the switch to the "Unlocked" position to remove write protection. This position may also be labeled "R/W" for read/write. If you have no switch, continue to Step 3.
3.Download and install Sony EzRecover (see Resources for link) and attempt to use it to format the card (this will erase all content). If this doesn't work, try Step 4.
4.Delete and repartition the micro SD card using Windows XP. Select "Control Panel" > "Administrative Tools" > "Disk Management." Select the micro SD drive and click "Delete." Right-click on empty drive and select "New Partition."
you can protect ur pc permanently frm such further viruses from these pendrives first u have to search this software(Naevius_USB_Antivirus) in cnet.com ,.............instal it and then insert ur pendrive,...........and click on it,......PROTECT,.........this will protect ur pendrive permantly........after that u don't have to format ur pendrive again n again,........... also don't ever delete two files,.......(Read Me & Autorun),............... enjoy.........................

Assuming that you are using windows, go to drive management and see if the pendrive is detected. If so, right-click on it and format it. Or look for the HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool and use it.
look for a write-protect switch or tab...also check the attribute of the file, check if it is read only...you need to remove the read-only if it is set. Usually doing a full format will erase it

Not only your pendirve your computer system is also affected by virus . please check your pendrive with any other computer .before you connected open your pendrive format your pendrive with any other computer. if it will not work you have go for any new pendirve. bye
