KitchenAid KERA807P Electric Kitchen Range Logo

Hello Experts, I NEED some advice to remove the control panel on my Kitchenaid electric range (model KESA907PSS00). I can't seem to get the darn thing off. It's loose @ bottom but will NOT release along top edge (near cooktop). I don't want to break anything & know that's there some service-techs trick to it. I HATE this stove!!! This is the 3rd control panel since NEW (6 years ago). Also, the eye knobs don't always turn the eyes on. Many times I have to take the knogs off to turn the friggin eyes on then put the knobs back on. Did I tell you that I HATE this stove. My wife has called Kithchenaid a talked to them for an hour but they say that the NEW control panels aren't warrantied any longer than the original factory warranty for the stove (5 years). However, you'd think that with this unit's history, they'd be more helpful...WRONG! I'm thinking that this is a factory defective product that's NOT isolated to my unit. Can ANYONE please advise me how to handle this situation or @ least advise me how to remove the control panel. Thanks. Retired Cop

I have owned many mediocre appliances but the KESA907PSS00 is the worst of the lot. The burners turn on if you bump them - a contractor bumped it without knowing and left, a pot with chicken was reduced to charcoal and house filled with smoke when we returned. And burners don't turn on, have replaced three burner controls so far. The front door tempered glass exploded while we were gone one day with oven off. Now the oven will not turn off, have to flip the breaker to shut it down. Though I know it is a Whirlpool at heart, it is my last Kitchen Aid appliance. I will be looking at control panel to replace membrane switch so if you have not solved your problem yet, please advise, might figure it out. Called Kitchen Aid, waste of time. Another Retired Cop

Did you ever figure out how to remove/replace the control membrane? I have the same issue.

did you get a chance to replace the membrane yet? I have been looking everywhere, but can't seem to find an answer.

I have a kitchenaid YKESS907SS00 and the front display and all functions of the oven do not work. The range works fine. I need help to troubleshoot what is wrong with this darn thing.

I brought the schematic remove the front panel be sure to unplug if you know to use a meter you need to check continuity thru the thermal cutoff and thermal switch if one is found to be open then there is no power going to the control board

Kitchen Aid range Breaker always tripping ERROR F5:E3

The elements or a hot wire feeding the control switches has been bumped and is grounded. You can probably find it with a thorough visual inspection. Look very close at the wiring and look for something pinched or touching metal.

Kitchenaid oven kdrp467kss09 no elecrical power

I had the same problem. There's a thermostat before the control panel. You need to remove the knobs and the front panel to get to it. You'll also need to remove a couple of trim pieces to keep from bending the panel. The part number is Whirlpool W10017820, sells for about $40.

I have the same problem as djeff757 post on Kitchenaid KDRP467

I don't recall a control panel fuse for this model, there is, however, a thermal cut-off on the rear of the unit. The part number is 8300802 and you simply have to remove the rear panel to access it.

Front control panel shows "Remove Probe From Oven" & Beeps.

I have the issue as well, seems like when I use the convect. feature. I have not called to have it serviced yet, but I have found that opening the oven door and truning the fan on for a few minutes, corrects it. At least until you turn it off again.
