Basically there is no perfect product for this task, these errors are usually divided intotwo: physical and Badura Badura software, not physical ones of what to do than tochange the HDD and the HDD format is software. if you have warranty for your laptop go to dell warranty to change your hdd, if you not you must buy one new.

I have a Dell Inspiron 1525 and when I turn it on it tells me NO BOOTABLE DEVICE DETECTED This happen one other time and I rebooted my computer and it came back on but it did not work this time what can I...

NO BOOTABLE DEVICE When the PC cannot see a boot file/disk on either the hard disk or floppy drive it gives an error message "No bootable device. Insert boot disk and press any key"
There may be a hard disk problem.
Check the BIOS to see if the hard disk is detected, if not open the case and re-seat the hard drive and also where it connects to the motherboard.
If it still gives this error message and the BIOS does not detect this hard drive, then the hard drive is probably faulty.

To get the computer operating again, install a new hard drive in your computer and then install Windows on this hard drive plus the computer's device drivers and your programs.

Dell inspiron 1525 can't boot up, keeps on saying hard drive cannot be found. What could be the problem. Tried safe mode and it did not work, tried installing the operating system again without luck,...

Hi there,
please check if you can remove and reinsert the hard drive from its's location. usually you would have to remove 3 or 4 screws on the bottom part of the laptop and slide the hard drive out. once it's out put it back in and make sure that it's tightly on its place.
If this does not work you may have to replace the hard drive because the message means that it cannot detect the hard drive and it might just have to be replaced.

your HDD may be corrupted, re-installing windows vista is one option. Your best bet is if you have/ can obtain a copy of windows vista run setup and try the repair wizard in the windows vista setup, the wizard automatically finds errors and missing files and replaces them therefore solving any errors in your HDD. you can also try to use the recovery wizard from your recovery disc. best of luck

When trying to factory reset my Dell inspiron 1525, I pressed the F8 key until the Advanced Boot Options menu appears on the screen as my computer start up. Then I select Repair Your Computer on the...

Hopefully, you have the set of CD/DVD "Dell System Restore" disks.

This might be a good time to purchase a newer, larger, faster, disk-drive, install it,
and load Windows onto it, and keep your current disk-drive as a "fall-back".

Restart your computer, and press F8, and tell the computer to boot from the first of those "System Restore" disks, rather than booting from your 'C:' drive.

Try check your hard disk with the other machine. Try running hard disk diagnostic test. If there's a problem with diagnostic test i suspect your hard disk is faulty. If you tried connecting with other machine then same problem, suspected also hard disk faulty. You might need to change it.

Error message

That is not an error, Windows is trying to verify that there are no issues with your hard disk. Is what you wrote above all that you see? If so then check disk is freezing before it completes. Try to cancel the chkdsk before it starts by pressing any button when it prompts you to, log into windows, back up everything up that you need and restart your laptop. Worst case scenario you need to reinstall windows on your laptop
