Its probably a broken backlight inverter, it costs about $130 for a new 1, and thats if you install it yourself, which shouldn't be too hard You can probably find instructions online about how to do that (P.S. Check before buying and trying to install yourself.)

My 42" Westinghouse HDMI inputs just stopped working. I thought it was the TW Explorer 4250HDC issue so I got a new one from TW. Still said no signal from HDMI. So, I shut the TV down and pulled the power cord out of the back. I waited a few seconds and reconnected the pwr cord. The TV "re-booted" so to say and now the HDMI inputs work. I think TVTEK has the right idea that it is firmware/software related. In the mean time, you might want to give that a try.

There are two places to look for the problems, the backlight inverter board and the power supply. Look at the power supply first since it is easier to get to, look for burnt parts, bad capacitors, etc.
Please post back what you find.

No, it doesn't have a digital tuner. If you want to watch digital channels you will have to acquire a digital set-top box and connect it to the tv thru the av inputs.

I would say this is probably down to a main av board fault. This would need to be replaced.

Vizio Model E470VL, HDMI ports are not functioning properly.

on some TV's the Analog board is where the other cables plug into. I know on a Sanyo I am working it looks like the analog and main digital board are all the same. but they are just hooked together. I bought an analog board for less that $30 from Shop The prices might vary according to the make and model of TV. need to be careful and remove the back of the TV . and get the part # directly off the board. BE SURE TO UNPLUG from the wall outlet first. Nearly all the boards carry a charge even when unplugged so be careful.

If its only 1 month old, first try a different device in place of the XBox if it still does not work, take it back and ask for a replacement.

Trying to hook up xbox 360

You should have 3 wires. 1 is for video and the other 2 are for the audio. The wires should have them labeled. Once plugged into tv. You will need to change the input until you see xbox game. New tv's have multiple input channels. So u may have to try different inputs. Also you need to make sure the the wires are in grouped inputs on the back of the tv. Let me know if u have any questions.

I can not get my component video to work for my xbox 360 with my with my Toshiba 36A43 Television

Do you get picture at all? What is your resolution setting on the Xbox? That TV is Standard Def. Plus on the plug that goes into the Xbox there is a switch for HD and non. Check and see if its swtiched over to HD. If the Xbox is trying to run in high def on a standard tv you will get no picture. Especially using the the little switch on those component cables. Hope this helps!!

How do I change my W2613 TV resolution to 1080i? I just bought this TV a few weeks ago and I want to be able to play my XBox360 in HD and when I connect all 6 wires (Red, White, Yellow & Green, Red,...

use just the red green and blue wires for the picture and NOT the yellow wire. That is why it is messed up.

XBOX games only play in 720, but it will still look great.

I can´t play xbox 360. The xbox says change to 60 hz mode, and when i do, the picture gets messed up and won´t support 60 hz. 50 hz works fine though, but I can only use my xbox as a DVD...

is this on hd mode?, if so it needs to be on 1080i as 1080p will not work that high up. Also if you are not using the component lead then you should the picture is fantastic.

Screen randomly flashes black

First and foremost you need to change one of two things. Either your video output settings on your xbox 360, or use an hdmi cable as opposed to component cables. Component cables are only designed to output video up to 1080i, not 1080p(big difference). So if you try to run a output signal of 1080p with cables only made to send 1080i, you will have picture issues.
