hi,
Press and hold 4 buttons on the four corners at the same time for 3 seconds to reset the watch after battrey replacement. check the last page of the manual for the same.

If it doesn't help then try another new battrey.

I have a BenQ PB 6210. After switching it on, it first displays that the lamp has run 2001 hours and should be replaced. After this window disappears, it takes maybe 2 seconds and the projector shuts...

Hi cholthusen,

Please be informed that the average lifespan of a projector's lamp is around 2000 hours. The light bulb is almost certainly the problem. The best solution would be to change the bulb. The easiest way to do that is to change the lamp assembly (fresh bulb is in the new assembly). You may also try resetting the unit. Turn the unit off, then physically remove the power cord. wait for about 10-15 seconds then start it back again. If this did not work, please replace the lamp.

Hope it helps.

Thank you for using FixYa.

You very well could have problem with the Ballast board that powers Lamp or your Lamp Fan maybe defective and if you need orinagnal hand unit for set Call Encompass Parts Distrubtion or Go to their website type in Model number they will list Parts /Prices for your model.
1-800-638-3328 Mats Electronics also sells handunits .To reset timer
Hold VOL- on front of TV and Menu on hand unit at same time for 5secs
if this does not work try it in reverse Hold Menu down on TV and Vol- on hand unit. Check your Lamp Fan see if it quits running while turning set on,if it starts and stops it is defective, other wise Follow wires that Lamp plugs into it will connect to Ballast board that powers Lamp CK it Problem M/B Ballast Board.

How to check for lamp life of my mitsubishi multimedia Projector xd 450u (DLP)

This should work:

How to reset the operation time meter
Plug in the power cord, switch on the projector, and
reset lamp time by pressing the (left and right arrow) and POWER buttons on the control panel simultaneously.
Important:
• If the 3 buttons was not pressed at the same time,
the lamp time may not be reset.
• Please confirm the TEMP indicator illuminates
about 2 seconds and the lamp time has been
reset.
• The projector will not turn on if you do not secure
the lamp lid.
• You must reset the operation time meter after you
replace the lamp.
• Do not reset the operation time meter unless the
lamp has been replaced.

Epson 7300

Hi there

The Epson Powerlite 7300's lamp has got a chip on the side of the lamp's bracket that resets the lamp timer automatically when a new lamp is inserted. And it only does it once - first time the unit is switched on after replacing with a new lamp.

The fuse on this chip blows and causes the lamp timer to be reset. Unfortunatelly this is the only way to reset the lamp timer on this model. There is no manual way.

So to cutt to the chase , you will have to buy the original lamp and replace it before it will reset.
