VP100 Projector Powers Up But Doesn't Light Up

Hi, I have a Lightware VP100 that's been sitting for awhile. I decided to break it out but ran into a problem. The power switch on the back turns the fans on but I can't get the bulbs to actually light up... Any ideas? Thanks ahead of time! ~Panther

Well, If you are pushing the power button beside the lens and the fans speed up but no light is on hte lights might of gone out as of now i have the same projector no one has a replacement bulb but if the fans just go steady and does not speed up when you power it on the there night be a problem with the button try the remote if you have it otherwise it just might be the bulb,

After my vp800 plays for a hours it cuts off. WHY?

Remove the cover and check whether the air filters blocked with dust.
Whenair filters are blocked, air doesn't flow freely through the projector. This result in overheating, leading to automatic shutdown.

Light Ware Traveler won't display what is on my computer, using RGB.

If you are talking about transferring the image from your laptop to the projector, have you pressed the FCN key and the F3 key at the same time?

My Lightware VP 800 fan turns on but when I press the power on button it powers up but no light comes on. The bulb does not need to be replaces. any ideas?

Check the bulb with a multimeter or it could be the ballast .Lots of times it an easy solution like trying another ac cord that fits better or even the ac fuse.

I have a Lightware projector Model VP-800. It won't power on. Do you have a repair service in the 13211 zip code area?

good luck finding anyone to fix that, much less anyone who carries parts. you can try finding a service center by searching the lightware site.
