Hi,
There will be a fuse in the circuit board which is meant only for the operation of the motor. That is very small and looks like a resistor only.you need a specialist to replace that.one wrong thing will short circuit the board fully.
If you need a service guide you can download from below website

How do I adjust the dwell time of the cd tray? My DENON DN-1800F cd tray closes immediately after it opens.

You would have to open up the player. The tray is controlled by a single motor. It's possible that the alignment went off if the tray got stuck or pushed manually. Since the player uses a laser, make sure you do not plug it in while opening the player. If you don't feel comfortable opening it up, have someone repair it for you. Also be aware that opening the player could void any warranty when opening up any devices. If you still have warranty on the device use that first, also if you bought it with a credit card, check if you have any extended warranty through them. It's one of those perks easily forgotten.

Hi,I have just bought a Denon dn m991r second hand and I am having problems recording on analog.I press record and DIGITAL IN starts flashing on display,I press play/pause button but nothing happens no...

Go here - http://www.minidisc.org/part_Denon_DN-M991R.html . Get the owner's manual. Read it.

The preset mode changes whether you record analog or digital.

Assuming nothing is jamming or is bent, the weak eject is probably why the guy sold it to you. It can't hurt to take the cover off and watch what happens.

CD Deck one wont read discs at times and will sometimes skip through songs is this fixable?

Sound like your Laser has gone. Part No. 9640005107

At $120-$130 for a replacement + P&P + fitting it's probably not viable.
