There are audio hits every few seconds on my PD 150, in fact there may be dropout altogether, audio/video now. could this be related to power? It occurs both when camera is plugged in or running on battery power. Also whether or not I use the camera mic or a lav. Please help. I have hit the reset button several times and adjusted mic settings according to manual but problem still occurring.

This is usually caused by a failed component in the power circuit within the camera and can usually be repaired fairly inexpensively. However, it's not a user serviceable problem and will need to be repaired qualified service technician.

SOURCE: how do I use 2 mics for the XL2 simultaneously?

Hi, on the left side of the camera you can set 'audio monitor'. Default is channel 1/2. You can choose to listen to 3/4 or 1/2 and 3/4 simultaneous.
In the menu of the cam you can set between 12 bit audio recording or 16 bit. 16 bit only records on channel 1/2 (the front mic). In 12 bit mode you can record audio on 4 channels.
hope this answers a bit of your question

I have the same problem with my JVC PD-42WV74.

The most likely the TV has a power supply related problem. The most common thing to go out is the circuit board that supply power to the screen. Commonly called a Backlight Inverter Board.
I can't say it's 100% the problem because I can't actually look at the tv over the internet.
If by chance the TV is still under warranty, go that route.
If not under warranty and If you have some electronic experience, you can purchase a Service Manual over the internet and diagnose the source of the problem and fix it by soldering in the new part. The Service Manual will give you circuit diagrams, test points, and part# lists. Usually, cost under $20.

I hope I shed some light on the subject for you.

Yes, you are correct. there are a few component issues on the power circuit board that will need to be replaced. the mani component will be the capacitors and transistors.if not repaired soon, this unit will completely stop working.

Perfect picture but audio glitches...

audio "glitches" or dropout is a typical symptom of tape path misalignment. find a good local repair shop (are there any more of us still around?) and they should be able to perform this relatively simple alignment.
