Turn on the printer and the computer. Connect the printer's cable
to the printer and the computer.
Click on the "Add Hardware" wizard, if it comes up
automatically. If not, click on "Start," then "Control
Panel" and then "Printers" or "Faxes and Printers."
Click on "Add Printer" on the left side of the window.
Choose the manufacturer and model number for your printer from the
list in the installation wizard. If your printer is not on the list, you can
click on the "Have Disk" link and insert the printer's installation
CD. If you do not have the CD, you can download the software on the manufacturer's

Restart the computer once you are done installing the printer's
software. The installation software may ask you to restart the computer. If
