My computer will not download the cd to add the hardware

Lexmark has the drivers and full software for supported OS versions on their site: http://support.lexmark.com/index?locale=EN&page=product&userlocale=EN_US&productCode=LEXMARK_X1270&focusedTab=DOWNLOADS#1 . Select your version of Vista (32- or 64-bit) and then click Filter.

Click on the link and the download page should pop up. Click on Download at the bottom of the pop-up window.

If you allowed the Add New Hardware wizard to search for the drivers, disconnect the data cable and then uninstall any driver that was found. Restart your computer. Reconnect the data cable and cancel all Add New Hardware screens that open. Then run the exe that you downloaded from Lexmark.

Its normal with Kids computer . Any how just go to control panel ( After Start Menu ).
Then you will see ADD HARDWARE , Click that and search new Hardware ( CD ROM ) .
Hopefully it will find AUTO . after that let computer chose driver's .

That's all you have to do , If cant , reply me i will .

First check this device on some other computer. If it works on other computer try to check your power cables are working. If cables are also fine try to install the device from control panel--Add hardware Or try to reinstall the windows.

If you have internet access go to hp downloads from google. If not, connect your printer to your PC (computer) turn it on. If your OS is XP the found new hardware balloon should appear above the icon on the task bar, click the balloon and the add new hardware wizard comes to the screen, read and follow prompts, as it will give you a list of some recent and current hp printer products to choose from. If the balloon as mentioned above does not appear, click start, click control panel, double click add hardware icon, and the add hardware wizard comes on screen, choose your options and follow the prompts. NOTE; if the printer has been installed on your computer previously, and your OS has not been altered (formatted) this is an easy task for the wizard, as there is a shadow copy of the necessary drivers stored in the memory of your hard drive. look in the back of the player or the booklets for the exact model number. Most current electronic websites will have a support area. Look up your model number and see if it has software downloads. Most modern mp3 players will have online software that you can download if you lost the disk. Some smaller players may be just drag and drop. Also if you are running XP or below, make sure that the OS is recognizing the device, if not, make sure device is connected, go to control panel, click add/remove hardware and have it search for connected devices. If it still can't find it, go to the Creative website's support section and download the drivers for your model and redo add/remove hardware step. Then it should be recognized by your system and you should be able to drag and drop music. Note: if zen has proprietary software, you need to download that from the website, but the add/remove hardware step is not necessary.

The chances are that the drivers for them got corrupted and you can install them fron your motherboard cd. To install them go to Control panel-> add new hardware-> search for new hardware-> if it shows up then its good else add them from the list. It will then install the drivers from your motherboard cd (the cd you got with your system or from the cd you got with your disk drive).

If this doesn't help then check for the connectors(going into disk drive from power supply and motherboard) by opening your pc.

1) Go to Control Panel. Open the System Icon.
2( Click on Hardware Tab, then click on Device Manager.
3) The device manager will list all of your hardware that is on your computer.If you see a yellow? mark oryellow ! mark next to your DVD/CD rom drive,simply click on it then click Repair. It also may tell you that it is not recognozied. Follow the directions.
4) If you do not see this in your Device Manager go to Add Hardware in your Control Panel which is next to your Add/Remove Programs icon. Click on Add Hardware and it will scan for all hardware.
** This should take care of your problem.If not then somehow the actual connection in your tower has come loose. If so you must open your tower and look for a loose wire going to your DVD/CD rom drive.

download the driver here. it's better if you can download it directly to the computer where you're installing it. but if it's not possible, you can simply download it somewhere and save it on a CD or USB disk. once you have the driver, use the add/remove hardware wizard to assist you in installing the printer
