In the middle of watching tv, the screen just turned blue. We went to change the channel and as soon as we did, it turned blue. It doesn't have sound either.

Blue color production circuit is fine. Red and green color circuit not getting power, the same power also goes to sound unit. if that is rectified, issue would be resolved.

Blue screen need to know how to scan channels to get input to come back up

Will need to know what tv you have, but you are right it is probably your input button. if you pushed it on your remote then there should be an input button on remote. otherwise you will have to go into the tv menu and setup it up there.
if you respond with model and make of tv, might get more info.

Sanyo Plasma DTV turns it self on

No solution sorry but i have a problem too... I usually watch my tv on "dtv" now it just went black no channel is working it automatically went to "ATV" where the channels are fuzzy and my extra channels aren't working. I tried scanning on "DTV" for all the channels but automatically scanned and defaulted back to "ATV". Does anyone know how to fix this?

Program Blocked errors

I was having the same problem with the constant blue screen appearing with different error codes. Here is how I fixed the problem on my Elements 19": I did a channel search. I found there were 68 analog channels and 274 digital channels. On a hunch, I went into Skip Channels and checked off all the digital channels since I have basic cable. Although the tv is HD and did pick up the basic HD channels, I choose to skip those two since I do not have a cable box on that tv and only the basic channels were in HD (about 8). I watched my tv for two hours and blue screen appeared once every 30 minutes, but the next day it did not appear at all.

I concluded that those error messages are because those channels are blocked and we have not checked them off to be skipped. When checking the Skip Channels, as you highlight each channel it will either come in or it will not. You will find the "Blocked Program" errors are coming from channels that do not come in and you will need to skip those channels.

I hope you can understand how I solved my blue screen problem on my Elements tv. Good luck!

Tv screen has turned blue and I can't watch tv

i think by accident you have changed the input when you went to change the volume. look for a button labeled " input" or "video" select on the remote and scroll through the various choices. you should get your picture back.

Nothig bu a blue screen shows when turned on

Blue screen of Death?
No, this is not windoze.

can you change channels?
a blue screen usually means that you don't have a signal.
Is it hooked up through dvd/vcr player?

Try a straight connection to cable or antenna.

If it remains, then it requires surgery.

32 in ILO tv, goes blank

Usually the blue screen is an indication that the video signal to the TV is not present. Most of the new TV's have a video input selection button on the TV and on the remote; try changing the video input selection.
