I have sapphire ati radeon 5570 graphics card. i have aoc 912sw+ 19 inch lcd monitor. how to connect hdmi port of graphics card with monitor?

the HDMI port is for connecting video and sound to a home theatre / surround sound system. I understand that this monitor only has a VGA connector.

The sapphire ati radeon 5570 graphics card has the following ports on the back to connect to a display: DVI (white), VGA (blue) and DisplayPort (the thin slot in the middle). You can use an ordinary VGA cable to connect the card to your monitor.

Unfortunately you cannot connect this card directly to your monitor using the DisplayPort.

Hope this helps

I have an Acer Monitor X223w - is it capable of hooking up as a douple monitor to one computer?

Any monitor can be used as the second monitor for a computer. However, your computer's graphics card must have two outputs. Some simpler graphics cards, most on-board video chipsets and all laptops *do not have* two outputs. Please check the back of your computer for two VGA outputs, or one VGA and one DVI output (you can use it by connecting a DVI cable to your monitor, or by plugging in a DVI to VGA adapter).
If your graphics card does not have two outputs, or if your computer uses an on-board video chipset, you can buy another graphics card to replace the one you're using.

I cannot seem to connect my new Asus VE247H 23.6 Inch Monitor with my New HP Pavilion Elite 460a Computer

Click here to see your screen specifications.

Your screen Supports DVI, HDMI 1.3 and VGA inputs.

Your Computer should have at least one of these connectors. The cables should have come with the screen.
Match them up, I would use either HDMI or DVI as these are digital signals.
VGA is analog, but if you can only use this one then go for it.

I do not see a reason to purchase an adapter.

Simply plug in at the wall and into the Graphics card of your computer.
You might have a card or onboard Graphics.

Thumbs up!
Let me know how it goes!

I have a syncmaster 400p i need a new graphic processor can u reccomend a compatible one

Good day,

If your screen has a VGA, DVI, or HDMI port, most of the new graphics cards will be compatible with your screen. Most graphics cards come standard with DVI ports and include a vga adapter for the screen cable. Some of the new graphics cards come with HDMI and DVI ports or a HDMI converter if you want to use HDMI.

I would recommend a Nvidia graphics card. Depending on what your primary use is going to be they have an extensive range to cater for your requirements and price range.

Hope this helps!

My Sister has a dell monitor and a emachines tower, She cant get the monitor to turn on. is it compatible? Or is there something else she should try cause she has it hooked up right.

They are compatible, make sure your connectors are right... If the emachine is using a graphics card, make sure it is hooked up to the greaphics card not the motherboard but if you do have it hooked up to the graphics card, then try the motherboard's video output.

My monitor will lose its signal from the computer and won't come back on even after I tighten the cables are replace them with different ones. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

the most likely problem here is that the computers video card is failing, if it is a name brand computer like Dell, HP and so on the video card is built into the motherboard which will have to be replaced to correct the probem, the only way to confirm this is to hook up your monitor to antoher computer and see if it wotrks ok, if it does the motherboard is bad.

Does not fit dell

You have not explained what type of video connector is on the computer's graphics card and the video cord/connector on the LCD monitor.
I suspect the connector on the computer's video card is a 15pin DSub connector and the monitor cord has a DVI connector.
You need an adapter to allow you to connect these together, Click on this link to this WEB site to select an adapter to suit your monitor cable :-

On the Dell 2405FPW, is the USB CABLE a special cable?

That isn't a USB cable. The cable you're talking about is an HDMI cable that is used for high quality graphics cards.
