New HP PC won't show up on monitor

I just bought a HP Pavilion Elite m9350fPC without a monitor , I know this sounds stupid but I can't afford a good LCDmonitor just yet so I was going to hook itup to my 19 in CRT monitor in the meantime. It has a DVI input and a HDMI input . It has a DVI-to-VGA adapter and a DVI-to-HDMIadapter . I plugged the CRT monitor cord into the DVI-to-VGA adapter ( noneof the pins are bent ) and pugged it in ,and got a blank screen . Then I tookmy 17 inch Dell LCD and plugged it inthe same way , and the screen is stillblank . ( yes the PC power is on and running and so are both of the monitors ) I can't figure it out !!! I'm not verywell versed with pc's , but I can at leasthook them up and start them . The manual is no help . Any help you can give me is much appreciated !!!Thanks ,Ron

So the problem there is your VGA adapter. Try installing a Graphics card in your motherboard. Check the type of graphics card slot whether it is a VGA or PCI Express slot. Hope this helps.
