This sounds like you need to change the location of the router. Make sure the antennas are vertical and the router is mounted as high to the ceiling as possible. The signal can be affected by the material in the walls and interference from other applicances
This should give you a better signal. If you want to improve the signal you will have to move the router closer to the computer(s).
