The default password for EVERYTHING is "admin"

(it means "administer")

Don't ask me why. I dunno.

or "admin" for "user", and just leave the space BLANK for password.

You can't do it, it has to be reset if you have forgotten the password. Otherwise, it defeats the purpose of a password. The default password is usually admin/admin or admin/password

the only way to get in through an admin password is to repair windows using a windows cd

google ophcrack and download...
burn the .iso file to dvd using Daemon tools
boot from cd
follow instructions on cd
your admin password will magically appear in front of you

First reset again your router to factory settings, just in case. Do this by pressing the tiny button at the back of the router with a pencil, this works for most of the routers. Then check the router manual or go to factory website and find out default setting for admin and password. some router works with 'admin'/'admin' or 'admin'/'1234'. check factory website.
