Thermador Burners Won't Light

I have a Thermador PCG484EW Gas cook top with two out of four burners that won't light. The 6 Point Gas Re-Igniter module has good voltage going into it from the simmer control so I assumed that the Re-Igniter module was bad and replaced it. The sysmtoms remain the same. I can get any one burner to work by unplugging the others from the Re-Igniter but when they are all plugged in it seams like there is just not enough power to ignite them. Is it normal for several burners to spark when I try to light one? This test also proves that the gas valve is good. Is it possible that I bought a bad Re-Igniter with the exact same sysmtoms or can I be missing something else? My service Tech worked on the thing for a year before I fired him and got involved myself. Can you tell me what Gas Re-Igniter is supposed to be in it. I think he replaced it once himself. Perhaps he bought the wrong one and I replaced it with another one like he bought? The one he put in and the one I put in is a Tytronics Model RI326.

The controller/potentiometers did not do it. I hope I can return it because it was $160.

I'm convinced that it was the spark module all along and the new one I replaced it with has the same problem as the old one. The spark module has the right input. 120v on "A" and 120v on the input of the burner that I turn on. That told me that it probably wasn't the controller. The only way I know to find out for sure is return spark module and buy yet another one. What are the odds that the one I bought has the same problem as the old one?

Unless there's a bad batch coming from Bosch????

Your issue is the potentiometers kit which includes the simmer controller; Bosch redesigned it a couple of years ago due to the serveral issues, the re-lite spark module is RARELY the issue. and yes it is normal on all cooktops for all the burner to spark until you have igniton because the electrodes are wired in series. you may also need a prof. electrician check you pwr source because due to sudden drops in voltage or amperage could cause continuous issues with your liting sys

Viking range burners won't light

from I review I found it might be this...Simple replacement of Glow Bar igniter requires removal of entire front panel with many screws
so sounds like your igniter might be shot - it heats up to ignite the burners - easy fix - get a long torch lighter and just light the gas after turning it on -

Tappan 32-1272-10/07056-8509-4080 gas range/oven pilot light works, main oven burner won't come on

You will need to look and see if the igniter is glowing a bright red. If it is weak, the oven will not light. Here is the igniter if you need to order it.

Also check and make sure your getting 3.2-3.6 volts AC to the valve.

I have a maytag gemini gas stove three igniters work but won't light the burners. One igniter won't spark

Replace the "igniter switch assembly". The igniter's are getting a weak spark and since you have one that will not spark at all, this is the usual problem. Here is the assembly to order.

The part comes with a 365 day, any part, any reason return policy.

One burner wont light of the 3

Is the igniter not sparking or is gas not getting to that burner? Have you tried to match light that burner? Those three things is where you start troubleshooting the problem

If the igniter is not sparking, it could be that the igniter is covered with cooking grease or the wire to the igniter has come loose either at the igniter or the igniter module. And simply needs to be reattached (pushed back on).

If the burner won't match light, than it's not getting gas and should be removed and thoroughly cleaned. And while you're at it, remove and clean all the burners and the venturis valves.

Removing the buner burners on a Ducane grill is a bit of a task, so I have included a link to your Owners Manual to assist you. Pay particular attention to the section Annual Maintenance, starting on page # 28.

Hope this helped you troubleshoot and solve the problem. Please let me know and Happy Grilling!!

Thermador rdss30rs xlo burners don't light and right side burners don't light either. can light right side with lighter. while burners are on igniter spark continously.

IF THE BURNERS DO NOT IGNITE
• Are the burner caps properly aligned and seated in the burner bases?
• Are the burner ports clogged?
• Is a fuse blown or is the circuit breaker tripped?
• Is the manual shut-off valve closed, preventing the flow of gas?
