My Bosch SHE98M will not respond to pushing the Cleartouch buttons. It is just stuck displaying the normal wash. It will not respond to pressing any of the touchpads. When the door is closed it displays "not started". I have powered the unit down by switching it off at the supply, then restoring power but there is no change. It appears as if the cleartouch panel is no longer sensitive to touch?

SOURCE: Touchpad--No Response

The "2H" is an error code indicating the control panel needs to be replaced.

SOURCE: Touchpad--No Response

See the notes about cycles taking forever. The relay that controls the heating element commonly gets warm enough to melt the solder around the connection, and the internal water heater stops heating. The "2H" indicates how much time the onboard computer thinks it will take to wash the load, based on previous loads, but if the last cycle was longer than 99 minutes, it shows 2 Hours. Repairing the controller board (or replacing it) should solve the problem. This is such a common problem, Bosch should have had a recall, but didn't.

EdgeStar DWP61ES turns itself on and off, display shows H:01 then counts up through H:24 then either turns off or starts the count again.

Many owners of the Bosch dishwashers perceive h01 (h: 01) or h02 (h: 02) and other signs as an error. But in fact, this is not an error, and you accidentally got into the start-up timer menu (delayed start of washing dishes). In this case, h01 means that washing dishes will start exactly in 1 hour; if the display shows h02, then washing process will begin exactly in 2 hours. As a rule, in most models of dishwashers from Bosch, a delayed start can be set in the range from 1 to 24 hours.

Timer programming You can delay the start of the program in 1-hour steps up to 24 hours.
  1. Close the door.
  2. Switch on ON/OFF switch [1].
  3. Press button [4] + until the digital display [9] jumps to h:01
  4. Press [4] + or - button until the displayed time corresponds with your requirements.
  5. Press START button [6], timer programming is activated.
  6. To delete timer programming, press the [4] + or - button until h:00 is indicated on the digital display [9].
You can change your program selection at any time until the program starts.

I have accidentally put the child lock on my washing machine but have mislaid my instruction manual. Please help.

A re-posting of a Fixya answer:

1) Press the "menu" button until you see "CHILD LOCK :ON" appear in the display. ( if nothing is pressed within 10 sec.following this the menu will close and it will default to program in the display )

2) Once you see what I just mentioned in the display press the "select" button until "CHILD LOCK :OFF" appears in the display.

3) Finally by pressing the "start/pause" button the key symbol should disappear confirming you have successfully exited the child lock program.

The child lock in on on my Bosch classixx 6 1200. I don't know how to disengage it

Hello, welcome to FixYa.

I'll start by saying your post indicates it is a Bosch classixx and the "child lock" selection has been activated, either intentional or accidental.

To reset it is as follows...

**Many times you can also push and hold the start key for several seconds and this too will deactivate the selection...on various models**

Let me know if this was helpful to you or not, if so please take a second and rate it accordingly and a short testimony is also appreciated. Thank you for choosing FixYa.

My washing machine is beeping and showing the key light and not turning on. The door opens though but it seems to be saying its locked!? It doesn't show the cycle time either. How can i get it to go...

Hello, welcome to FixYa.

I'll start by saying your post indicates it is a Bosch, but you didn't specify the model number. It sounds like the "child lock" selection has been activated, either intentional or accidental.

To reset it on many Bosch it is as follows...(if this fails, please provide your model number)

The door on my Bosch washing machine 1605 is stuck on shut

Hiya,
the door not opening is normally a sign that there is still water inside if you can try a spin cycle or if you have a drain option try using that & if it was the water then the switch will trip & you should be able to open the door again.

Hope this helps

I have E3 error code on a Bosch washing machine maxx classic - what does it mean? thx!

"E3" on a Bosch Maxx means the door is not closed properly. Either there something preventing it from closing properly (blockage) or there is a fault with the locking mechanism.

Bosch DLX series didn't drain, now no power

I had a Bosch DLX series dishwasher that had multiple problems.

First, it had greyish water in the bottom and pushing the power button did not turn on any lights. it had mostly finished a cycle, but not quite. my first thought was to clean it out. i sponged out all the water and removed and cleaned out the filters from the bottom which were all quite nasty. i found food, tiny bones, etc. I cleaned it out and that did nothing but was still probably the cause of the problem. I called Bosch tech support and asked about areset switch. There is none. They told me to switch off the circuit breaker for 30 MINUTES to reset everything. I did that which did not fix the problem.

I then examined the connector wires (connecting the electric to my house wiring) which are in the front under the kick plate, and discovered that they had MELTED! The wiring supplied by Bosch was stranded wire, and my home wiring is solid core. i trimmed the burnt stuff and reconnected it with new wire nuts. if this happens again i plan to disassemble the dishwasher's electric and replace the stranded wire with the good stuff.

That restored the electric and the lights and display. i then ran a test cycle and it seemed to just hum. my guess after googling a bit was that the float was stuck in the up position, and it was trying to drain. This site http://www.applianceaid.com/boschDW.html told me how to run the test mode.

"To start test program, press and hold both POWER SCRUB PLUS and REGULAR WASH program buttons, then turn unit on by pressing ON/OFF button. When program buttons are released, lights above them will flash. To end test program, press ON/OFF button."

The test mode tested out all functions which I think wound up reseting the float switch which actually fixed the rest of it.
