The device has "died". Spend $8 to buy a new 2048 MB (32 times larger) flash-drive.

How to play games in ps2 with usb

- You need to have a software called USB Advance or USB Extreme(search the internet)
- Write this software using DVD Decrypter onto a blank CD-R.
- Insert the disc into the playstation 2.
- You should have a USB Pen drive ready, of capacity minimum 4 GB.
- Alongwith the USB Advance, you will get a software for your PC to convert the downloaded games into the games playable through USB.
- Open the software, browse for a game file, and convert it.
- Now insert the pen drive into your computer and copy the converted game files into the pen drive.
- Remove the pen drive from computer and insert it in your PS2.
- Boot your PS2 with the USB ADvance CD in it and now select the game and press the 'X' button to play!

I need to install the sylvania installation software for an mp3. I can not use the cd i was sent with the mp3 player because my CD driver is not working. IS THERE SOFTWARE I CAN DOWNLOAD? I HAVE THE 8...

If your CD is not working, then use a computer that has a working CD and copy the files off this CD disc to a USB flash memory stick. Then insert this USB memory stick into your computer that has the faulty CD drive and install the software from this USB flash memory stick.

My ccd-u mouse has stopped working.mouse came with floppy disc so can,t down load driver to my laptop, it was working ok but then stopped thanks

FInd a computer with a floppy-drive and a USB port.
Insert the diskette, and copy all the files to a USB memory-stick connected into the USB--port.
Move the USB memory-stick to your laptop, and connect it.
Access the device-drivers on that device.

Well I got a new psp with a 2 gb memory stick produo with a Memory Stick Duo Adaptor. Well this is the problem: When I insert the adaptor with the memory stick inside my computer won't show any files it...

Put the card back in the computer and format it using FAT (not NTFS) format. In the format menu, you'll see the file system pull down option, choose FAT and try and format it again.

I want to save a powerpoint on to a usb stick to put on my laptop but I'm not sure how to use a memory stick

You should use a flash drive just like a floppy disc (if all you do with it is transfer files). Insert the USB stick into a USB port; watch for a message about found new hardware and then ready to use. Either drag and drop the file from hard disc to the USB stick (depending on your system it could be drive E:) in the File Explorer (in Windows use a right click to ensure a copy file, not a move file) or File > Save As and change the default location in PowerPoint. When done with the file transfer, click on Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media in the System Tray or Eject in the Explorer (My Computer).

I hope this helps.

16 GB USB 2 MEMORY STICK I cannot format the pendrive. 2)when i double click on the removable disk,it says ''Please insert a disk into Drive E :'' 3)i used a pendrive format utility but the problem...

I'm a little confused as you mention both Drive E. which suggests Windows and gnome which suggest linux.

WARNING: Formatting the disk will erase any data on it. Do not format the disk if you are trying to get the data off it that was on it yesterday.

It is possible that the partition table has been corrupted.

If you are using windows. You can either try right clicking on the drive (not double clicking) from Windows Explorer (My Computer) and clicking format. Choose the file system type and go. Alternatively, you could work through the disk management administrative tool. Right Click on My Computer -> Manage -> Disk Management. Right click on the volume and format it.

If you are using linux, see if you have a valid partition table using fdisk for the device. Then, after creating the partition, use mkdosfs to format the drive. If you have formatted the drive as a linux partition, such as ext2, ext3, or reiserfs, it is likely that Windows will not see it as a valid drive.

If the old computer is running XP.. then patch it up with service pack 2 and then transfer the files!
Most often service pack does the job.. Also the transfer is fast with the SP2 installed
