I bought a Lexar Secure II in September and it has worked perfect until yesterday. Suddenly the computer will only recognize that there is a removable disk connected but the name of the disk is no longer Lexar. When I click on the disk a window opens up, but the window is empty. When I check the properties of the jumpdrive it still shows that the storage is full to 83% but it cannot show the actual data. I tried the Lexar on both my laptop and pc but the same result. I have an insurance so I know I can replace the device, but I desperately need the data retrieved. I called Lexar's customer support but they could not help me. What can I do to retrieve my data?
The directory is corrupted.
when your computer accesses the drive, it knows some things, like how big it was.
but it does not know where the data is.
it does not see anything that tells it what is on the drive, thus the empty window.
not a serviceable unit if the mfg will not give you a fix it program.

My son has a Lexar Secure II drive - he's moving Itunes from a PC to a MAC. AFter several iterations he cleared out memory while in the PC - now when he tries to use it on the MAC the MAC says its out of memory evern though I cant and dont see any files to Delete
