The TV needs the drive to be formatted in a certain way before it can be recognised. Also, the file types the TV will play are specified in the User Manual.
The supported formatting for the USB port is FAT12, FAT16 and FAT32. It is FAT32 that you are able to format in from a Windows PC.
The video file format that the TV supports is DivX.
There's no specific mention of the TV having support for USB disc drives, but it does say it supports USB Mass Storage Class devices. This does include external hard drives. As a general recommendation, use an external power supply with the drive rather than relying on the 5V USB power rails.
Hi, can you tell me the model of your external Hard drive and the model of your system so that we have more information about the issue that you are having..
Have you done a OS upgrade? Have you removed all USB, cables, etc, shut down, unplug from AC ,remove battery, leave battery out, plug in boot normally. If that fails go to Manufacturer's website Support, Look for a Solve a problem, or Manufacturer's drivre updates. Is your computer up to date on ALL windows and manufacturer's updates?
yes you can connect but it will keep disconnecting, but if your lucky it wont, maybe its about compatability of the tv and the hardrive, but the led design samsung series 4 it does.
Attach your harddrive to your computer via the cable that came with it. Chances are it will be a USB connector. Windows should recognise it and install the drivers automatically. It will show up as a drive letter in 'My Computer'.
probably your internal hardrive is lose, or your data base lost.
tray create a new database, go to utilities and create a new data base ..
if it doesnt its because your hardrive its damage, if its , u probably can recovery the music but you have to buy a new one soon ,or use your dn from a external hd, remember fat32 for external usb hd.
u can use usb cddrive without update bios but unlike later versions of windows where you just plug it in and it detects it you will have to use an instalation disk for system to recognise device same with usb stick.
what mem do u have and consider xp (need at least 40meg to install)if u can fit 256 or higher ur laughing mem cheap as buttons these days.
