Hello,

The printer most likely has a drum timer or counter, life time counter or similar that would need to be reset together when installing a new drum kit, probably the first replacement drum kit you got was fine, but the printer just needs its counters reset.

If we can't figure out how to perform the reset, then you probably have to pay a toshiba tech to come over, they tend to keep this information inside closed doors.

Hopefully this will reset the counter.

turn on while holding 0,1 and 3.
input 80
wait a second
turn off
then on.

How do I get rid of 'Install MK' message?

Missed something, Part of the maintenance kit is the developer and also the drum unit, you will need to change the 1/8th amp fuse in the developer assembly, and also the chip inside the drum unit.

Farnell stock both, the fuses are p/n: 446-816 and the serial eeprom chip is p/n: 690-650

This isnt the exact chip that kyocera use as they use a 93LC56B, but the ones that i have fitted before are 93C46 -these seem to work just the same.

Hope this helps.

The printer screen shows change parts and on the wlan computers connected to it says that the drum end soon and that panics me a lot as i paid a lot for this damn computer

Did you recently replace the drum and the warning is unexpected?

Why does the message "Drum End Soon" continue to appear on the LCD after I replaced the drum?
Description:
This message would continue to appear if the drum unit counter was not reset when you installed a new drum.

To reset the drum unit counter, follow the instructions below:
  1. Press Menu on the Control Panel.
  2. Press the Up or Down Arrow key to select Machine Info..
  3. Press OK.
  4. Press the Up or Down Arrow key to select Reset Menu.
  5. Press OK.
  6. Press the Up or Down Arrow key to select Drum.
  7. Press OK.
  8. Press 1 to reset the drum unit counter.
You can use this procedure to reset a drum in order to continue to use up the remaining 'life' of the drum; recognizing that you will need to replace the drum when you start having print quality issues.

There was no warning--just a message that transfer roller needs to be replaced and machine will not print. Do not have one on hand and a search to purchase shows it bundled with drum or part of a...

If that is the warning you are getting that only that is in need of repair at the moment that isn't to say that at anytime you could need a drum replaced. If you can I would purchase the kit and then replace the parts as needed.
Thank you,

Drum error

Yes, you should replace the drum unit if you have not done so. You may have a broken corona wire or drum. However, keep in mind that you will need to reset your machine after changing the drum unit. If after replacing, you still get the same error, you may have a problem with your machine properly sensing your drum unit.
