To mute the ringer, while in standby mode press the volume-down button to select Off.
To mute the microphone, while talking press the MUTE softkey.
To put the phone into do-not-disturb mode, press and hold the do not disturb button on the base.

Opened my unit and read off the P/N of the switch. Looked it up on the mouser website and led me to NKK switches and found the one in there. DONE...

I reviewed the manual and do not see a mute key. However, I included a link to the manual below for you. Many cordless do not have a mute key, so I merely put my finger over the transmitter holes to mute. Kinda goofy, but it works. Thanks, CG
