Why does my Insignia NS-VCS14SL7 brush stops spinning after 1-2 minutes even though I have cleaned all debris from the brush, emptied the dust bag, and charged the battery?

One possible reason is that the roller brush is not turning freely. There are bearings on each end of the roller, and that is often where hair and dirt get trapped and causes friction. I have even had to replace those bearings if they get over heated by the friction.

Electrolux Unirapido not working green light flashes when start button is pressed!

I have the same problem with this type of vacum. I have tried a lot of things but the problem is with the software included in a 20 pins chip on the pcb so it can not be repaired. But, if you look in the back of the vacum there is a rubber stopper wich hides 2 pins. Maybe those pins can be used to reset the vacums pcb. I really dont know because in can't test it any more. I solved my vacum bypassing the vacum mainboard (pcb). Now my internal battery is directly connected to the 2 motors using a simple switch to powering on and off. The original pcb is conected only to the batery, recharghing wires and led wires so i can recharge the batery as usual. Sorry for my english, hope you understanded what i was trying to explain. good luck

I have a 2 year old Electrolux ergorapido cleaner that gets used daily for about 2/3 min, the blue light on the stand comes on when the cleaner is put on to charge but fades after about 5 min & the...

No, not worn out batteries.
For my experience, if the batteries were worn, they would charge with the blue led being on and after that, the vacuum wouldn't hold his charge. just that.
This is a different problem. Check the contacts between the charging station and the vacuum, mines got bent a bit and stopped making contact. This has happened twice and just fixed it about 30 min ago. That is why the led first lights and then goes off, there was just a brief contact between them.
Nice vacuum, very powerful and handy but maybe it is just poorly made as it is engineered in Sweden but built in China.

I have a First Alert model 610 timer. It is an older model and I need the instructions for it.

I called First Alert @ (800) 323-9005 and they faxed me the instructions for Model LS510 which is the same and got it working. They will mail it too but not email. Choose Fixed or Random mode. Choose how many hours it will stay on after dusk. Turn your lamp off and unplug the lamp. Plug lamp into timer. Put function in Fixed or Random position. Put hours on switch to number of hours you want it remain on after dusk. Plug timer into the wall outlet. Turn the lamp's switch on and Timer's LED light should be on and the lamp should be off. Turn the lamp's switch off then on again TWICE. The second time you turn the lamp's switch on the bulb in the lamp will flach on then off quickly. This indicates that the Timer is controlling the lamp's operation. Leave the lamp switch in the ON position. The timer is now set for automatic. I hope this helps.

Remove dirt from bag

The bags are not reusable, you will cause damege to the machine if you reuse bags.

A cheaper alternative is generic bags http://evacuumstore.com/c-3-canister-bags.aspx?ManufacturerFilterID=0

Wiring schmatic for kenmore canistar vacuum

Generally, there are two wires inside the unit which connect to the wiring going down the suction hose.  Since the unit is a/c...it doesn't matter which of them goes to which terminal.  The wires are switched in some cases.  Look for the open terminal.

The PCB controlling the battery charger is overheating and the led dosen't illuminate when charging, could the led be shorted internally causing the problem. The vacuum in question is a Hoover Freejet...

The problem was caused by the failure of 7 of the 1.2volt cells in the battery pack, the other problems were symptoms of the battery pack failure. Replaced the thermal cutout a 131 degree C component on the PCB in the docking station for the vacuum when recharging, I also had to change the LED which had also failed this is a Red 12 volt 5 mm dia component observe the correct polarity when replacing. Also make sure when replacing the thermal cutout that it is secured tightly to the resistor it sits along side, otherwise it will not respond quick enough if there is another failure.
