Had a repairman work 3 days on my kenmore elite. he change two control units and still would not work. I fount the soultuion here. The little nub contact for the door lock was broke. he replaced and works. month later now we have no front panel lights. For a while I could puch DELAY several times and then express wash and it would work. Once I unplugged it for several minutes that seemed to reset all features. Started the no lights again and nothing seems to work. No error codes.
Our Kenmore elite HE3 got wet inside when something that looked water sensor device broke and sprung a water outpour that got the entire inside wet. We fixed it, but now the washer does not light up or start. Have you opened the lid to make sure all of the copnnections are in solid on your main board ( the white box up top). Kenmore Elite refrigerators come in several styles, including units with a freezer at the top and units with freezers at the bottom. The top and bottom of the fridge work on different systems. Sometimes the freezer may function perfectly, while the fridge performs poorly. Most issues with the fridge cooling are due to incorrect settings or poor cleaning practices. Checking common problems with the refrigerator will help you diagnose the situation and keep expensive repairs to a minimum
1. Check that the Kenmore Elite refrigerator is plugged in. Inspect the circuit breaker of the home if the refrigerator is plugged in but not running.
2. Pull the unit out from the wall and vacuum the condenser coils at the back of the unit.
3. Turn the temperature control in the Kenmore Elite refrigerator to the "On" position.
4. Turn up the temperature on the temperature control, located inside the unit on the wall.
5. Check the seal along the door for signs of cracks or dryness. If it is damaged, lift up on the seal to expose the screws that hold it in place. Loosen the screws and pull the seal off. Place a new seal on the unit, starting in the corners and working your way around to insert the tabs into the Kenmore Elite fridge door.

yes!! the F/11 is triggered under high voltage conditions like high speed spinning. The part is called the MCU motor control unit. if it goes into failure while using your machine and locks the door, just wait 3 minutes and the door will unlock after the MCU resets. Try using you machine with a low speed spin for awhile.
Check the Vibration damper rods to be sure that... 1. They are there and mount is solid. 2. If they are broken in 1/2. 3. The plastic knuckle mounts are not missing/broken. 4. There is oil in the shock absorber/spring section of the rods.
Also - there are suspension springs on the bottom of the tub that could be broken and/or missing.
Replace/repair as necessary.

This advise is for Kenmore Elite and Whirlpool Duet front loader washers and dryers with a Control Lock problem.
This may or may not be an indication of a serious problem. In the majority of the cases, this is a simple operator error. Nearly all these model appliances have some sort of Control Lock feature on the front panel now. This is a designed safety feature that is used to prevent small children from manipulating the controls. The controls can be easily locked or unlocked by pressing and holding the following button on the front panel:
Whirlpool Duet Washer - Press and hold the END OF CYCLE SIGNAL button for 3 seconds.
Whirlpool Duet Dryer - Press and hold the END OF CYCLE SIGNAL button for 3 seconds.
Kenmore Elite Washer - Press and hold the DRAIN/SPIN button for 3 seconds.
Kenmore Elite Dryer - Press and hold the AUTO DRY LEVEL button for 3 seconds.
These instructions may not be all inclusive for all Kenmore and Whirlpool models, but they are the most common. Chances are, if you have a Control Lock feature, the instructions will be printed on the front panel adjacent to the button that is required to lock or unlock the controls.
NOTE: These instructions may also work for newer model Maytag, Hotpoint, Admiral and Fridgidaire model front loaders as well. Refer to your owner's manual or front panel for instructions pertaining to your sepcific model.
If the Control Lock feature will not lock or unlock the appliance, unplugging the unit for AT LEAST 30 minutes is recommended in order to reset the main control board. In many cases this is all that is required to correct momentary glitches.

well you can remove teh boootm acess panel by removingthe 3 screws that run along the bootm of the unit . afete rthat you can set a cycle to wash ans see where the leak is coming from
this unit has a history of the light circuit failing and it will cause the lights to either stay on or off. if they stay on, it will melt the housing around the upper bulb area. it has a recall and should be covered by sears for no charge. it is the control board failure and has a sticking relay for the light circuit, needs board replaced. the 3 beeps are the unit thinking it has a door open. turn off the alarm on the door control board and call sears 800 # for repair.
