There is one simple thing you can try. Open the right side door, then the front door. Slide the toner cartridge out. Then slide the drum cartridge partially out then lightly "slam" it back in to reseat the drum cartridge. Re-install the toner then close the front and right side doors. Try a copy and see if this has repaired the problem. If not then try opening and closing the right side door another time or two. If this works then great. If not then you will need to call your local service company to have the machine looked at. Most of my customers have had either the right side door open/close or the removal/re-installation of the cartridges resolve their problem.
Good Luck and Thank You for using Fixya.

Keep copier ready; disable powersave option

This is going to be a user program:

a) the 2 buttons to lighten and darken copies
b) hold both for 5 sec until indicators light up
2) use the left copy quantity key show 2
3) press your copy key
4) use the right quantity key to change to 2 (max 90 sec)
5) press the copy key

repeat step 2 but change to 3 with left quantity key
press the copy key
change right number to (4 = 60 min, 1 is default at 5 min) then press your copy key.
Once done press both light and dark key again to exit

Note*** changing shut off timer and preheat will effect copy lamp ready state. Every 60 sec or so the scanner will move and reset. Some people do not like the noise is makes all the time. If you don't you can always change it back to the defaults. 2=0 and 3=1.
