SOUNDS LIKE YOU NEED TO REPLACE THE TONER CARTRIDGE, THEY GO THRU LONGER WARM-UP PERIODS WHEN THE TONER GETS LOW AND IF YOU LET IT RUN YOU WILL SEE RED LIGHTS LIKE STACKED CANNON BALLS, WHICH MEANS ITS OUT OF TONER
those dots mean toner, when they blink it's empty. replace the toner cartridge. open the front door and pull it out. pull the seal on the new toner and slide it in. shut the door. that was easy! Good Luck!
Most likely you had a toner cartridge failuer leaving some of the ink and developer in the crevices above the paper feeder and its just trickling onto the paper.
It pretty much needs to have the cartrides taken out and thouroghly vaccumed.
Just takes patience and time to get it all removed.
Dont vacuum the cartridges, but the inside of the machine.
Pull your paper tray out and see if there is toner and developer trickling into it.
