reset your password by using these two options
1.reset your password using alternate email id
2.reset your password using security questions

Point your web browser at http://www.gmail.com

If another account comes up, sign out of it by clicking the avatar in the upper-right then clicking "Sign out."

If you then still can't sign in to your account, click the "Need help?" link on the sign-in page.

If you're getting an error message, what does it say?

Your son most likely signed you out of your mail to get into his. Whoever your email server is you will have to go to the sign in page and get yourself signed in again.

Sign in to your account on what/where? You obviously managed to sign in to your account on FixYa.

try going to your email and activating your account and then try use the credentials ? hope this helps
