You will need a driver for the hardware to work correctly in order to show up in "my computer" If the card or hardware came with a insallation cd, please insert that disc and install the driver. If it did not come with a driver, then you may need to google it up for a driver, or simply tell us what card you had inserted in. If you are talking about card such as sd card or media card and it did not show up on the computer then 1, your media card is bad, and you will need to test it with another device( such as another computer with the media device slot) to see if it is working. If it is working on another device, we have to assume that your media card slot on your computer is not working. In this case we will assume that the hardware is there, however the media slot driver is not installed, or functionly correctly. You will need to go into device manager via your control panel and scroll and once in your hardware device manager, in your media/ sd device, see if there is any hardware detect, if not, your media device is bad, and it is not working. 2) If it is working, and it is seeing another card if you insert another card, then your card may just need to be formated.
1. Your slot might not be working properly, you might need to check that the drivers are properly installed or even that the slot is not disabled...[use device manager for this]
2. Your Operating Systems might have compatibility issues with the device, confirm with the manufacturers website...[this a rare but possible case]
It is better if you format the card in the device in which it is used.
If you have already attended to that chore and the card does not work, try using a different SD card or cards to eliminate the possibility that the card itself is defective.
It is not recommended that you format the card in your laptop if its primary use is in a camera or other device.
Are you sure the card is being inserted properly? Does a light come on indicating the card is present? Check that the small switch on the side of the card is not in the locked position. Restarting the computer can fix it if the reader has been accidentally removed using the "safely remove hardware"option.
If you want to get WiFi, the only WiFi SD card available for the T5 is the Palm WiFi SD card. No other WiFi card compatible.
The SD card fits into the SD slot, but the card is longer than standard SD cards, so part of it extends out of the slot. This is the antenna for the WiFi radio. Also, you must install the drivers for the card or else it won't work properly. Drivers are available for free download at Palm's site. Linux will not work either without the card, sorry.
Yes...go to the google website or drivers.com to find the driver of your computer and you can type the search box "dowload" your specific brand of you pc..............
