I am not sure I understand- does it stay out of focus or does it focus properly after it has started up?
There may be a fault requiring service (probably not economically viable), but before you go there, does this camera have a "Macro" feature? This is usually represented by an icon that looks like a flower. If you have set that on, the camera goes into an extreme close-up mode and won't focus on items at normal distances.
I just got a fuji digital camera. I was taking pictures and it said memory full and then the lcd screen went dark gray with a green dot in the middle. I then opened the memory card and installed it. I can still take pictures and see thru the focus lens but not the lcd screen.????? pls. help
It sounds like the eyepiece focus adjustment knob may just need to be set for your eyesight. There should be a small knob or dial with a + & - sign around it. This is the "diopter" which doesn't affect the camera's focusing, only how you see the image.
i just help the zoom to get out with a thin screwdriver and now the "ZOOM ERROR" message disappear, but i have another problem. The camera does not show the target (what to shoot) on the screen. It shows ONLY pictures on card.
I tried everything, but the target i choose does not appear on the screen.
I would look beyond the camara and suspect that the computer is tired or overloaded. This would be a more logical point of defining the trouble and cheaper than suspecting your fine camara and expertise. If you still think it is the camara take it off the auto focus for a few weeks and see if you still get problem shots. If So take the puppy in for an overhaul of the timing shutter mechanism. It may just have a fuzz ball or rather hairball problem that only momentarilly and intermitintly snags. If it is not the auto focus then how about a different computer program choice?? Photo files eat up a lot of space and unless you have one computer that is totally dedicated to just the storage fixing and printing of the pictures you may simply have a RAM vs PIXEL problem. Try off loading some onto disc for storage instead of keeping them all on the machine. If they print out better in quality than you see on your screen then it may be your monitor that needs to be reset to handle fine detail in the contrast settings. You may have to upgrade this equipment, which I would for the TAX BREAK.
Its an error code and shows problem of Lens mechanism. Lens focus / zoom motor is stuck that's why camera gives out of focus image. You need to replace Lens Assembly and it would cost you more then camera worth.
Auto focus is supported with AF-S and AF-1 lenses only. A mode switch is on the lens ,it should be in A position to activate auto focus. In the menu select auto focus
The focus mechanizm does nee to 'see' what it is looking at.
Check you manual see if there is a setting for fixing the focus so thatr the camara can shoot from near- about 2m to infinity without the focus operating.
