The protection light wont go off when hook it up

Have you tried powering it on without the RCA's and speaker hooked up? If not try that first if it comes on without the protection light then shut back off hook up RCA's try again keep on going down the line until you're protection light comes on whatever you hooked up is your culprit.

What do you mean by extra speakers? If you hooked more than one speaker up to one output, you probably blew the amp.

1st check all of your wiring, make sure the remote wire is hooked up, check to see it the RCA's are hooked up. I know this sounds stupid, but i've done it a thousand times, check to see if you hooked up the speakers. If you checked all of those and still nothing, double check your ground. Make sure where you have it grounded, you have all the paint sanded away and its a good grounding point. The red light on the top of the amp, its not a protection light is it??

try hooking up only the power ground and remote see what happens if protection light is on then u have a problem with amp if it goes off then hook up rca if still off then hook up speaker wire if it turns on then u have a prob with speakers

turn down all the knobs all the way, if it still does it you probly have a bad ground connection. check all power wires.

A 1000 WATT AMP HAS PROBABLY GONE INTO PROTECTION MODE BECAUSE YOU ARE TRYING TO RUN 1600 WATT SUBS COMBINED

The most likely reason for it to go into protect is shorted output transistors.

There is a short some were check all hot wirs for any bare spots . If that is not it most likley when you installed it you blue italways hook main hot wire last.

it's blown....probably, check your connections and make sure your presenting it an ohm load it can handle....so check the sub with a dmm.
