My amp wont turn on but when the ground cable is connected the protection light turn on.

Generally, when an amplifier goes into protection when you attempt to power it up, it means that the output transistors have failed.
Measure the DC voltage across the B+ and ground terminals as well as across remote and ground. If you have less than 11 volts when the amp tries to power up, the amp could be shutting down due to low voltage.
If the voltage remains near or above 12v, disconnect all speaker wires and signal cables from the amp. If it powers up, the wiring needs to be checked. If it still shuts down, the amp likely has blown output transistors.

The most likely reason for it to go into protect is shorted output transistors.

it sounds like the ground is bad to begin with and check the positve cable for oxidisation on the battery terminal and at all other places that the power wire is connected to

i have the exact same amp and i assume the same problem in detail here it is...... the amp was working fin ...i had to take out my L7 for more trunk space so i disconnected everything properly and when i hooked it up again the amps protection light blinks red like its trying to turn on but won't and it keeps blinking until i shut off the vehicle or disconnect power, ground, etc.. is there some sort of reset button or did i some how short it out.
