In regards to the computer beeps 4 times this usually points to a memory problem. I would try to reset the memory in the system. Also I would try to boot the system with 1 stick if you have more then one stick as it could be just one of the sticks that are bad.

Let me know if you have any more problems or questions

My Dell Inspiron 530 won't start. 4 Beeps, Soild blue light.

According to Dell this is a RAM issue. You can find a list of diagnostic Beep Codes here. Also be sure to inspect the capacitors on your motherboard. If you notice any of them leaking or blown then that is your problem.

If you have extra RAM lying around then swap it into your PC and see if you're having the same problem. If not, pull out any unnecessary RAM just to test it. There are four RAM slots on this PC and you should be able to use any one of them. If your PC turns on then you can isolate which chip is giving you problems. Keep in mind RAM is ideally installed in matched pairs.

If you only have one RAM chip in your computer then I'm afraid you will either have to buy another one or borrow one from a friend to test. Shouldn't be too expensive anyway.

What does two beeps on a dell Inspiron 530S mean and how do you get it out of power saving mode?

Power off. Wait a full minute. Discharge static from your hands by touching exposed metal part of chassis (case). Open your case and re seat memory chips.

Dell inspiron 530s.when powered up cpu.fan runs very fast, computer gives 1 beep then powers off.It sometimes restarts itself only for the same thing to occur.

Good Morning--The 1 beep with the Dell Inspiron 530 is due to a bios check sum failure and or possible motherboard failure. The best resolution is to contact Dell and to see what they say. If you have any other questions--feel free to contact us at [email protected]

Hi my daughters dell inspiron 530 will not boot up just has blank screen and is emitting beeps, in series of four, Anything I can do without loosing everything she has on there.

I think it is the RAM modules, clean their fingers with tissue paper and then install them each one at a time powering on each time. Using alternate slots. Ensure that they are inserted and seated porpely and in the correct orientation.
However if it is still in warranty, and this method does not work then return it to the seller, they will ensure that it runs well again.

All the best, Thumbs up!!!
