my kenmore frig side by side did the same I flushed the freezer drain like the instruction book says but it leaked on the floor after A week.
I pulled out the frig unplugged it in the back I removed the bottom black cardboard grille and vacuumed the underneath and removed the black drain tube and flushed water through it and put it back that solved the problem and took about 15 minutes to do I hope this helps people who are having repeat trouble.

SOURCE: side by side leaks out front door on freezer side

try checking the tube that water drains out , it could be plugged with crumbs or old partials of food and causing the problem, This has happened with my fridge at one time , affecting the defrost cycle of the freezer and dripping water out of the door, The tube was located under the crisper in the back of the inside of my fridge, Hope this solves your problem

SOURCE: Water running out bottom of freezer

That's exactly what it it. Your evaporator coils frost up in normal use and every eight hours or so the entire unit shuts down and the defrost heater comes on to melt the frost. This cycle last about 20 minutes. The melted frost drips into a drain pan and through a drain tube to the drain tray under the freezer/refrigerator where it's evaporated by the condenser fan.

Your drain tube may be stopped up with ice at the upper end because it drains too slow because it's stopped up at the lower end in the evaporator pan under the unit at the floor. It can get dust and mold in it. Once you get the ice out at the top a little pressure with a turkey baster will usually clear it out. Flushing it out with hot water and clorox may help.
Make sure it drains quick enough to prevent refreezing. . The drain should be located below the evaporator coils on the lower back of the freezer.

Testimonial: "Thanks for the GREAT ADVICE I did find the tube and pan and removed the tube and cleared the drain by blowing through and then i cleaned the tube!"

SOURCE: The ice maker in the freezer is leaking water all

May be a problem with the solinod valve in the back of the refrigerator. find the water shut off valve be hide the frige or under the sink to stop the flow and have a tech check the valve and the ice maker timer. letting the refrigerator thaw over night will put the freezer back in service until someone can look at it.

Water freezing on bottom of freezer

Clean the drain pan and drain line in the back of the freezer section underneath the evaporator coil. Make sure water drains when you pour it in. If it doesn't - also clean drain tube on the back of the unit behind the cover. When done - put the tube exactly where it was.
Good luck! :)

My Maytag side-by-side refrigerator/freezer Leak

There is a pan and drain hose under the freezer coil that is there to catch any water when the freezer goes into defrost. I feel strongly that is where you will find your leak.
I hope this helps.

Have the fridge pulled out and check behind it. I had same model and it was leaking into my walls/floor and caused thousands of dollars in damage to my kitchen. BLACK MOLS Covered my walls/cabinets and made me sick. Please be very careful with this excess water coming from this model. GE should recall it but will not unless forced. Not Cool.

Drain system is clogged.
Clean the drain tray and drain line in the back of the freezer section, located behind the back cover and underneath the evaporator coil. You have a plugged up defrost drain. There should be a drain hole way in back of the freezer, at the bottom. (it should be behind the panel at the back of the freezer compartment) Use a turkey baster with warm water to flush it out until water runs out the hole into the defrost drain pan under the refrigerator.

Kenmore 25.8 side by side with water freezing in the bottom of th

It sounds like the freezer drain is plugged up. When the frig goes into the defrost stage it melts the frost biuldup on the evaporator and the melted frost goes down a drain that is behind the evaopator cover. When this dran is plugged the water has no place to go and over several defrost cyles will actually run into the bottom of the freezer section. When the defrost cycle is over and the frig starts cooling again, the water freezes in the bottom of the freezer.

Freezer, water problem

you have a frozen defrost drain, first of all defrost all of the ice out of the drain pan behind the grate, once the ice is gone you'll see a drain hole that goes thru the floor of the refrig. you need to flush some hot water thru this drain.

I use a big syringe filled with hot water to do this it will force any sludge build up out of the drain tube into the drain pan.

kind of an easy fix even if you aint 10=)
