The locking thing for the cd player broke so i took an old dvd player and put the one from that but its not lock like the one it comes with so it stops every now and than or sometimes it wont even read it so i have to put it like 3 before it plays can i buy that same part?

Hold down the play button, it will take a bit but it turns of the child lock

First try unplugging and plugging back in then remove caseing and insert paper clip under locking mechanism and hit eject...your locking mechanism signals that there's no cd in it and so to it there's no dvd or cd...hope that helps:)

Hi there! I have one of these units and there appear to be 2 LOCKS on it. The first is a general LOCK probably to prevent people from fiddling with the controls while on display on the shopfloor. This lock is activated and removed by pressing the STOP key on the remote and on the front of the unit at the same time for 5-10 seconds. The second lock is a CD player lock which comes on automatically (I think) when the unit is moved to prevent damage to the laser inside. Does anyone know how to remove this lock? It has been on for about 3 days now and it is not explained in the user manual. My CD is stuck inside and I cannot listen to anything else but the CD which is inside the unit!

hi! replacing cd room,open your cpu cover by two quick lock bolt at back side of your pc right side,show on figure w/ arrow where the quick lock bolt.then pull out cover and you'll cd rack inside your cpu as shown on figure release 2 lock screw,and pull out i.d.e cable on cd room terminal also the audio cable next to leftside if have one,next the front cover of cpu thats locking your cd room theres a cliff lock on side opposit of the fron cover lift it by flat screw driver slowly and careful it might broke,after cover was detouched,don't remove any wire connection on front cover,pull out your cd room replace by dvd rom and connect all what has been disconnect on cd room put back front cover,and connect pwer,audio and ide cable again then try to switch on your dvd rom is a plug and play you can install your dvd installer and follow wizard instruction and click finish...regards

press and hold stop+play button on the front panel of the dvd player more than 15 sec the player will be unlock

What you have to do is unplug it and plug it back in it resets the dvd player

Did you try taking out that lttle circle thing that you put your cd into.Well,take that out and then clean it.Then,insert it back and it should play your cd

To unlock, manually press and HOLD the open/close button & the stop button simultaneously, and HOLD them both down until the lock picture disappears.   The DVD will eject when you press the open/close button. 

 

To lock the DVD inside the machine, repeat the same step, and it will lock it inside.
