From a computer _with_ Internet access, access the manufacturer's web-site:
http://support.hp.com
and enter your model-number, and do a search.
Select the AUDIO and NETWORK and MODEM device-drivers for your Operating System.
Download the software, and either copy them to a USB memory-stick, or burn them to a CD-R.
Physically move the memory-stick or CD-R to your HP computer, and install the device-drivers.
if your modem has an ethernet connection the drivers should be on the disk provided by the internet provider
control panel admistrive tools,computer management,device manager scroll down network adapters +expand Ethernet driver right click update driver,disable,uninstall or select properties general you can trobleshoot or driver to update,rollback or uninstall
