Sysrem keeps saying low flow

Three areas that can cause low flow 1) the intake on the pool, if you are using the pool sweep basket feature, then undo the connection at the pool wall and you will find that the wall filter is plugs with fin bug particles that can not make it past the wall screen. Clean and replace the hose to the wall. 2) the filter is clogged and dirty, clean the filter clean the filter compartment and replace, 3) you have an air leak allowing air to enter the pump system causing air to restrict the flow of water. Check the hose connection for leakage, check to make sure the bleeder valves are not loose or over tightened, as both will cause an air leak.

After modifying our 20x 48 Summer Escapes pool to utilize our Intex Saltwater system - why is the saltwater pump showing low flow?

Index salt chlorinators need a certain flow rate. Check the flow rate on your pump to see if it is strong enough.

Code 90 low water flow don't know why

Here are some things to check. First ensure you have bleed all the air out of lines and that there is not a blockage. Then ensure the water inlet supply hose is and the water outlet supply hose are hooked up correctly. Pretty much the pool water should be going into your filter pump first. Then your filterpump will pump into the saltwater system and back into the pool. If this is correct, check the PVC pipe with the flow sensor. Its the pipe to the right if you are looking at the machine from teh front. It also has an electrical connection coming out the top of it. Ensure that the arrow on that PVC pipe is point in ths same direction as the pipe to to its left. If all that checks out, then unsrew the electrical and pull out the flow sensor and clean it a rag or a toothbrush and reinstall it. If none of this works then the manual says that you have a faulty flow sensor and intex has been out of stock for awhile. However, another to check and make sure that it is not you flow sensor (about $14) you can take some electrical tape and tape the white flap of the flow sensor to the black base. reassemble it and run the salt water system. The filter pump has to be running when the saltwater system is running. If the chorine light comes on on the salt water machine, then you have a faulty/worn out filter pump. If the machine says 90 then it is definately your flow sensor.

Hi- I'm a new intex above ground metal frame pool owner. I bought the saltwater chlorinator to go with my pool. I constantly have a problem with the pool filter not getting enough water to flow through...

You've gotta keep that annoying filter pretty darn clean to please the saltwater pump. I have to scrub my filters daily for this reason. What pump do you have? Mine is rated for 4000gph but I see Intex even offers support for pumps with as little as 500gph.

I keep getting code 90 (low water flow) on my Intex Salt Water System for Above Pools. I imagine that it could be a result of my water filter not being powerful enough. Could be the problem. I want to be...

If your pool has the skimmer system there is a hose coming from the bottom of the skimmer to the wall of the pool which would be your suction to the pump. Disconnect the hose clamp from the suction port that goes through the wall of the pool remove the hose then unscrew the blue adapter on the inside of the pool there you will find a strainer / screen. Whatever gets pass the basket in the skimmer get's plugged up in that screen causing the pump to starve for water causing the LOW FLOW sensor to go off on the Saltwater pump.

Let me know if this helps any.

You problem is not the salt unit, your problem is PUMP related. You are getting good enough water flow. Check the pump as well as the filter. remove the filter cartridge and try the system without it. If the problem goes away then wash your filter and retest. If the problem comes back replace the filter cartridge. If the problem remains without the cartridge in place, you have a blockage in the plumbing which is preventing proper water flow.

What does code 90 mean

code 90 means low water flow

start by cleaning your filter with high pressure from garden hose
check all tubes for blockage
also check where the inlet tube connects to your pump, sometimes hair builds up there and blocks other debris
also check your electro cell for build up
also check your flow sensor this can be removed easily

Low Flow-please help!?!

There is an in line screen where your pump flows into the chlorinater. Take off the hose and take out the filter to clean it. This is something I had to do every 2 or 3 days when my kids were using the pool regularly. It gets trapped with lint and what not. I just clean it out in the tub or with the garden hose. Be sure to make sure that black washer gets put back in properly before you put it back together. It tends to fall out when the water from the filter washes through it. Of course it could be something else. But this has been my experience and I've had one of these for 3 years now.
