Install went well, however

Whenever I try to use the camera for anything, nothing shows up. All that is displayed on my screen is a white or black image, no picture of what the camera is pointing at. The OS that I am running on is XP. Any thoughts?

The camera works fine, definately not the lighting. Today I installed it on my mom's computer and it worked great. I'm thinking it has to be something with my computer...because I also have an EyeToy camera that works on my mom's computer, but not mine. Nothing seems to be working! Haha, oh well maybe someone will figure something out.
(By the way, when running AMCAP or any other video-capturing program, all that is displayed is a white screen, however, it does detect the camera.)

Have you tried using the camera in different lighting? That might be the issue either too much light or not enough light.

Sorry, it sounds like your shutter is jammed open, giving very overexpsoed photos. You could try menu / reset but i doubt it will help :(

White screen with black stripes, black spot

Sounds as if the camera would need to be sent to Olympus for service. You may want to call their Customer Service to discuss repair options and pricing. Their telephone number is 800-622-6372 option 2 and then option 3.

Screen has gone white

Either your LCD is damaged or the cable connecting it to the rest of the camera is loose. I would suggest taking it to be repaired.

LCD Display Blank

I have a sony cybershot DSC-S650, the LCD was very dark and could not see anything except if I pointed it at a bright object, everything else worked ok. I could take pictures but could barely see them in playback as well.

I took it to Sony authorised repair outlet and was told the CCD was damaged, they charged me USD $55 to repair it (in Quito, Ecuador)

LCD Display Blank

CCD malfunction, common with Sony manufactured CCD chips. You are in luck, its a free repair regardless of warranty date.

Gr-dvx7 jvc lcd screen is just white?

If the view finder shows the same white display. You probably have display circuit problem in the camera. Faulty CCD chip usually shows Black screen so it probably board problem or a connector problem. If you see an image through view finder then you may have defective connection from board to LCD assy. Either way it need to be looked at by a trained technician. Good luck.
