Hi I have a jvc dlp hdtv that uses a Bulb jvc CL110u11AA. I understand that if the Tv is going dark that I should replace the Bulb. My Tv is also going Green most images are greener that normal. Is this also a reason I should change the bulb? or is this something else wrong. In other words by replacing the bulb the images will no longer be green. I did not change any of the settings to make it more green. thank you lenny

My jvs tv the sound works but no picture someone said the flyback was bad

This is a dlp or digital light projection tv. This set uses a bulb. First check the bulb. The bulb can ussally be removed from the set from the back with a screwdriver. do not touch the bulb front. this set does not have a flyback. 90 percent of the time the bulb will shatter when bad.

How long do bulbs generally last?

Generally, a DLP bulb lasts about 8,000 hours (if a TV is on 10 hours a day, every day, the bulb will last about two years). A bulb can last longer if it's used less frequently. Typically, a bulb in a DLP TV for household use should last at least three to four years before it starts to flicker and needs to be replaced.

Thanks!

Lamp needs to bereplaced,,,,, tv jvc model 61z886, need to know model of lamp i need and where to buy it

Google "DLP lamp" and you'll get many places from which to order lamps. Go to one of these sites and they should have a search box. Enter your model number and it should give you the part number of your lamp. Try several sites if the first one doesn't give you what you need to know. Once you have your lamp number you can shop the various sites for the best price. Note: You can buy your lamp complete (with the housing it comes in),..... or just the bulb and replace the bad one in the housing (cheaper)..... if you have the skills needed. If not buy it complete with housing. If you change the bulb only,.. don't touch it with your bare hands. Most bulb only packages come with rubber gloves.

Color of the picture is faded/green

Hello Jdillon917,

I understand what you are saying, however the devil is in the details in reference to your problem. Let me explain, DLP Televisions use what is called "Color Wheel Technology". A wheel made up of primary and secondary colors spin at a synchronized rate with the Luminance Video signal and this along with the changing of the mirrors of the DLP processor creates the color that you see on the screen (This is a high level description, but it covers what is happening). Now what you are experiencing can happen if the sync between the signal to the color wheel and the DLP processor is off center, if the color wheel is out of alignment, or if the signal to the DLP is drifting. The bulb "light" is working but something happened to interfere with the sync between the color wheel and the DLP processor. I would suggest getting this looked at by a DLP qualified TV technician, because of the nature of this problem. In addition I would request that you have the technician do a certified alignment after the problem is taken care of.

I hope this helps,

Thank you,
