    My pc isn't doing anything at all.It camops and the ite on for a minute t cut off and never came on again.It doesn't make any noises at all.

I can't connect to the internet. The error message is that the network adapter isn't working.

Have a gateway GT5078E desktop that BSD'd all I get when turned on a a constant beeping no display nothing whats up

Gateway computer does not turn on


Without seeing the machine, I'm thinking you have a motherboard problem. But try these troubleshooting steps before throwing in the towell:
Open the case and disconnect the CD cable. Now try it. If it still doesn't work, disconnect the hard drive and try it.
Let me know what happens. I've seen CDs mess up a system like this. I many times will swap out the power supply, but I'm thinking with the lights flashing, its a more serious problem.

Older Gateway system not showing video...


is the system generating any beeping sounds when turned on ?, does the CPU fan comes on also ? do you anything on the screen such as teh gateway logo flashing ? IT coul dbe very well a bad power supply, try looking for a similar power supply usually should be no more than $40 or $50.

My gateway gt 5228 has power boots up but I have no picture on monitor and the keyboard doesn't work. Both monitor and keyboard work on another computer. what is wrong with PC


First disconnect any external devices like printers etc that you might have plugged in.
If that doesn't work then it's a problem inside the box it can be the power supply ,motherboard ,memory ,CPU and others.
If the PC has warranty then you should take it back.
If you are comfortable in opening your computer then we could try more advanced troubleshooting ,let me know if you want to try it.

Small Outline-DIMM or SOD only really applies to laptops! your post says you are desktop troubleshooting, is this true? if you post the make, type and model of your machine i will be able to tell you what the system supports

I have a Gateway Laptop purchased in 2006.Serial # 0036378223. This computer warranty is expired. It has recentlty gotten dropped and damaged. I would like info on sending it in to Gateway to be fixed.
