The printer in question comes with a smart card that must be inserted in the slot neer the lcd screen. If you have lost your card you will have to contact fargo to unlock the printer.
the memory module will need to be replaced on that unit, I believe on that unit it is replaceable. I have worked on these before. we are an authorize service center forit.
When you open and close the lid on this printer, it tries to realign the ribbon. If you are getting this error, I suggestion you Calibrate the print ribbon through the print driver printing preferences on the Calibrate tab.
I am having the same exact problem with the Pro L. Did either one of you figure it out? I just spent $100 on the SmartGuard and now I cannot get it to work
